Orfoz Restaurant Bodrum

Best food I have eaten in a while. Best restaurant I will likely eat in Bodrum. The salad in one of the pictures is made 100% like how my mum or grandma makes it and they’re Ottoman Turkish Iraqi’s. The view is incredible, you sit and smell jasmine flowers. The atmosphere is very chilled and beautiful, you hear birds chirping. The service is excellent and staff are super friendly. We had vegetarian a la carte which was a safe option for my mother who is not very adventurous with sea food. The vegetables were soaked in the craziest dressing ever. The olive oil they use - omg. They have a clementine drink which leaves a floral aftermath taste. We asked about few dishes and it was all local produce and you can identify from the taste and quality. The portion size was perfect as it is a la carte, we left and felt full to a healthy level. The price for what we ate is average for a Michelin awarded restaurant. Your trip to Bodrum does not count if you do not go to this restaurant.

Lovely restaurant in Bodrum with an amazing seafood tasting menu. The food was delicious, freshly sourced and prepared, the location and ambience was very relaxing and the staff were very friendly. There is also wine pairing with the menu. Overall an amazing food experience!

Let’s start with why I am writing this review.. I am a restaurant manager from London and my partner she is a chef in one of the hottest restaurants I Mayfair. After reading some of the let’s say disconcerting reviews I think they are very unjustified. Orfoz is a local restaurant serving up local produce ! You can’t beat it. Yes the food comes out fast, but who wants slow service ?
We decided to take the wine pairing and it was perfect, well balanced Turkish wine perfectly matched with the fresh seafood. To be honest this restaurant is the only place we could fine that was doing something different and unique. Water topped up, wine and food explained, fresh plates, friendly staff, the list goes on…

People who leave this restaurant a bad review do not understand the industry, they do not realise we’re they are, this is Bodrum not Paris or London.

Amazing experience ! Definitely worth the money.

Upscale restaurant with the nice view. Set menu saved us a lot of time with choosing what to eat, and it’s definitely worth trying. Mussels, oysters, Turkish version of paella, seafood soup, garden salad and more. We weren’t able to finish the full set, please come hungry. Baked eggplant was my favorite, together with veggie salad, made from seasonal vegetables from local farm. A bit overpriced, but it’s worth going

The set menu here is very delicious. Ask the owner for the wines and main course, his recommendations worth trying. The view is lovely. Try limoncello licor and Turkish coffee following your dinner. Make sure you have a reservation. There is a museum next to it to see the house of one of the greatest singers in Turkey. If you are interested in art, fashion, and food, you may combine it with this gastronomic journey.

Also lovely outdoor seating area with gorgeous views of the marina. Staff were super friendly as well and really good service.

I often read the negative reviews first to see if they're legitimate or if people are just picky and mean. I think that's the case here. Yes it's expensive but the food is incredibly fresh, very well prepared and very flavorful. I'm not a huge fan of mussels or clams but they were both phenomenal here. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service is top notch. This was a meal I'll remember for a long time. I recommend it heartily.

Great food, perfect wine selection. Crab was amazing, oysters are tasty but a bit muscled because of the source. Cooked ones are great though. Beetroot leaves are to die for. Happy waiters, good service.

This is the best restaurant in Turkey by far. The taster menu with 4 different wines is a great way of knowing the restaurant.

A real test of Trukish coffee I had a great Lunch with my friends at this amazing restaurant. Food is fantastic and the way the waiters treated us is excellent. Great food, great staff, great location! I want to go back again.
