This place is absolutely recommendable. You can feel the pain the people suffered while they had been in prison. Very rarely I had been impressed so much by a museum. The only thing, there are no English explanations... only for those who have no mentally illness or depression. Otherwise it might influence your mood too much that you might not recover so easily

Prison museums are not that common, and this one didn’t seem like a usual prison to me. Great place for cheap tickets. Would recommend!

The museum and the exhibition is very unique and interesting. Moreover, the museum is quite big actually. The entrance fee is 4 liras for adults and 2 liras for students. There is also a parking lot in front of the museum where you can park your vehicle easily. The only struggle must be the lack of information in English. However still it's a must visit please. The museum will give you a proper image of the Turkish political life.

A really interesting place to visit. Make sure you take Google Translate with you because everything was written in Turkish. We spent about two hours there and also went to the small cafe they have for drinks. The entry fee was very reasonable at 10tl each.

I can definitely say that it is the most impressive museum I have visited in a long time. Even the walls speak to those who can understand.

very interesting museum, only one minus - turkish language only, difficult to understand, but still nice and fresh idea!

What an experience...A well preserved and restored museum. Even if you don't know Turkey's history, the emotions are still very powerful. 9TL the entrance fee for an adult.

It was sad to see the jail conditions. Every inch of it has sorrow and suffering. But it must be seen to understand history and people better.

Really good experience. Well worth a visit and it's basically free. It's 4tl a person. If only english was provided alongside the turkish write ups. Still, must visit in Ankara.

The museum gives a great view of the "old" Turkey with the powerful restrictions turkey had on free speech. Would recommend all people to come visit and take a look.
