One of the best meals I have in Türkiye. Excellent fish and shelfish. No menue. The owner recommend what they have and you choose your small plates.

If Istanbul has Hagia Sophia, Kusadasi has Bottarga.

The best restaurant in Kusadasi.
No, it may be the best in Türkiye.

I've eaten at many restaurants while traveling to different parts of Türkiye, such as Istanbul, Goreme, Pamukkale, and Kusadasi, but I have never experienced better food than this one.

You don't even have to choose a menu, just enjoy the food on offer.
Dishes such as clams, prawns, calamari, octopus, mussels and fish are fresh and taste great, served in an unpretentious manner. Even the desserts are perfect.

I ate 12 dishes in all, including amuse-bouche and dessert, but the food was so good that I drank two bottles of Sauvignon Blanc.

A restaurant that deserves at least a Michelin Bib Gourmand or one star.

When you visit this place, you will feel that you are having a delicious dinner on a Greek island, not Turkey.

Highly recommended for those who are tired of eating kebabs.

Lovely little unique-concept restaurant in Kusadasi. Chef’s selections were all deliciously executed. Fresh ingredients, quaint atmosphere, and friendly service. The ceviche was amazing. The lobster was cooked to perfection. Every dish was delectable. If you value a special food experience look no further. Imaginative dishes, creative presentations, fare prices, and delish tastes. Bottarga is a don’t miss food experience.

2nd visit 10/5
Back this evening before I leave Kusadasi!
1. Mussels with sultanas and peppercorns and other herbs, I've never had mussels cooked like this before!
2. Turkish scallops
3. Ravioli with shrimps
4. Grilled lobster
5. Trio of ice cream

The boss has fantastic taste in life - towards food, music, decor!
It's an enjoyment to be here!

1st visit 6/5
The Japanese will know this as omakase - chef decides menu for the day.

Menu is influenced by international cultures - I was served ceviche & tartare, subsequently I was asked if I'll like to try sashimi, fish was very fresh!

Let the boss know your preference and he'll recommend accordingly!

Definitely recommend if you'll like a taste of fresh seafood prepared in a way that brings out the best flavours!

Chanced upon this treasure while road tripping along Kusadasi. Got a couple of dishes recommended by the chef himself and was pleasantly surprised by the freshness. There’s no menu so there’s no price as well, but it wasn’t too expensive for all the fresh seafood (a whole fish sashimi!) we had. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I ate at Bottarga a couple times during my Kusadasi stay and it was definitely the place to eat if you want to please your palate with tasty seafood dishes. Great Mediterranean cuisine with hints of Japanese and south American influence. No Menu, food depends on the catch of the day, very fresh and very well cooked. Such a gem in Kusadasi !

Absolutely awesome experience. They dont have a menu. You choose beef or seafood and he tells you the options. We decided to get all of it. All small dishes, all family style. We will definitely come back for dinner. Highly recommend if you appreciate good food.

During my 12 day tour of Turkey, this was quite simply the best meal I had.

I won't add much here except that this is an experience and a half. Go in with an open mind and prepared to be surprised by the owner/chef Cengiz who will helpfully guide you through the meal.

Don't be worried with lack of menu, that itself is the part of charm. Admittedly it's on the pricier side, especially if you add alcohol, but with the kind of meal they offer, it's sheer value for money.

Most likely the most variegated fish restaurant I have ever eaten! Every course was simply delicious! Fresh and simple cooked fish, which makes you appreciate the real taste of fish.

Great dinner spot in the heart of Kusadasi. You have 2 choices, seafood or beef, and the chef brings you whatever food they happen to have for that day. He brought us 2 plates at a time and we just told him when to stop! We chose the seafood option and every plate was very flavorful! Chef was very nice and friendly as well.

Pure ingredients, focus on quality and taste… There is no such a thing like a menu; you enjoy the catch of the day seafood and that’s it. We enjoyed some calamari, ceviche of seabass, ink fish, shrimps and a portion of angler. Pure joy!

Absolutely perfect fine dining experience. Every course was incredibly well made, with high quality ingredients. The waiter (owner?) is kinda gruff, and the place is a bit hard to find, hidden between two buildings, but it was a great experience. Would eat here again any day.

Had dinner here today and the food is so good, probably the best food we had since we came here! I recommend you try it when you come to Kusadasi. It’s the restaurant at the back of the bank. Truly a hidden gem! The chef is so nice and friendly. He’s kind of in charge of everything as it’s a family restaurant. Will definitely come back to this place when we go visit again.

A hidden gem! We had a lovely evening, the food was great, and we felt we were served as if we were their home guests. The wine was top-rated. Thank you for a fun evening!

Delicious food! It came without a menu, you can expect about 65 USD ppax for wine included (about 30 USD w/o alcohol) but it's absolutely amazing food. 10/10 would recommend again

This is really important. This place is AMAZING. He’s a retired boating agent, and runs this place with his wife. He’s got amazing food as a passion. There is no menu and that’s the best part. He has no menu because he makes it every morning once he knows what is at the fish market. What I loved is that he has amazing dishes and they were all, not only delicious, but Mediterranean diet healthy. Thumbs up beyond belief.

You must eat here! No need for a menu, all fresh seafood directly from market to plate. All expertly cooked by the chef, a humble and friendly local. Very reasonable pricing and great wine. Bottarga is one of the best restaurants in Europe!!!!

Loved Bottarga. Each dish was delicious seafood, and we enjoyed not having a menu. It was so good we went two nights in a row.
With a city full of tourist trap food spots, this restaurant is a relief
