Cafe Rumist

We loved the food, the place was great and everything was fresh, meaning we had no complaints and one thing is so important. The taste of the food is looks like same traditional Turkish food. We enjoy this night and location of this restaurant is also very good in the corner of the street.

Happened to visit here one night for dinner by chance and glad we did. One of the best pizzas we ever had, the pasta was also good and orange juice was also fresh. Before returning home on our last day we visited here again. We also bought big mosaic lamps from here, the price was very reasonable and they packed it very nicely for us to carry on our flight. We recommend you to try their pizza and if you want to buy mosaic lamps then don't look further as they have a good collection and also a very good price.

The food here is good and satisfying. The boss here is interesting and friendly. The environment and atmosphere will make you comfortable.

This restaraunt was 10/10. The owner was a lovely man who was personable and inviting. The food was tasty and the most reasonably priced in the area. They don’t serve alcohol, so you’re able to bring your own alcohol if you’d like which was a plus. Highly recommend! Went four times during our five day stay.

This restaurant has delicious food at great prices. Appetizers were good portions. The lentil soup was wonderful and served hot. The lamb chops are good with plenty of sides. The ice cream is so yummy...it has a different texture you need to try! The service is great! I will be back again!

We had a really nice diner today! We didn't get forcefully pulled in by a host that wouldn't give us time to look at the menu outside. After diner we had a lovely talk with the owner who gave us some lovely insides about Istanbul and his rug shop. 10/10 would go again. Thank you for your hospitality!

We had a great time. They offer a great variety of foods and they also customize food for us. Late night patty place!! Great hospitality. Especially Arman is a great host.
They are ready to help us that is great in restaurants!! And gave us advices about going places. I highly recommend every one to come here.

The food was just superbly good. Actually I never expected any special flavor or taste because I just dropped by knowing totally nothing about the restaurant. The chef is young but seems to have an exquisite cooking skills. Regret I didn’t take a picture of the food I ate but picture doesn’t say much about the real flavor. Small steamed rice ball was so great. Better than Japanese sushi rice. I bet it will make you lick your lips.

Enjoy a delicious, flavorful feast under the warming glow of locally hand made Turkish lamps with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Start off with a freshly squeezed pomegranate (or other fresh option) juice, enjoy new and traditional main courses - lots of flavorful hot and cold vegan, vegetarian and of course meat options - and end with piping hot Turkish, mint or apple tea and dessert! YUM! No wonder this is an award winning restaurant. Be sure to walk around to view the gorgeous rugs, lamps, and art on display and for sale as well. The prices are very fair and reasonable! The owners and hosts are extremely helpful, skilled, friendly, respectful and gracious. They also speak English very well. A must-visit restaurant if you’re in the area. Very conveniently located just a few blocks down the hill from the Blue Mosque.

Everything about Rumist is the best. The owner the staff, the food and the ambiance. When you enter the restaurant, prepare to make friends with the staff, laugh and love the food. Mr Ibriham is the owner operator and sets the tone for fun, laughter and friendship.
Mr Sinan served our food and made us laugh. The menu is expansive, the food excellent and the staff amazing. Definitely a place we will return.

I usually don’t give reviews. But this place was just amazing with a lot of vegetarian options and I felt so happy especially before leaving Istanbul. A lot of places in this area overcharge you with tips and service taxes esp when the food is pathetic and old. But this place is reasonably priced and the food was fresh. Definitely recommend this place.

The tastiest food we had
The most polite and welcoming. We had great food. My son discovered he likes lamb for first time - it was that good. We got nice show with how the food was served.

Staying around the corner with my family, Rumist café was the first place we went to have lunch all together and since then it hasn't been dissapointing. The food is delicious, the prices are good and the service is excellent! The Lamb is delightful and as a pasta lover I have to say I loved the Alfredo chicken fettuccine (even if it's not a Turkish dish). Food is always served with delicious pita bread and the best thing to drink for us was the Ottoman Sherbet which is a delicious fresh lemonade with mint and probably lots of love cause something so good can only be made with love 😍 totally recommend this place!

Came to this restaurant to celebrate my son's birthday whilst we were on holiday. Delicious food and my children enjoyed the pasta and pizza. Lovely decor and comfortable seating area. Waiter was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

Great vegetarian options
All the food was so amazing, they have such great options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. We got the jug with vegetables, hummus, tortellini, and vegetarian pita. Everything was so tasty and delicious and it's so nice to have such a variety of vegetarian options. The owner is also so helpful with recommendations. Would definitely give this a try when you're in istanbul!!

Excellent option close to Hagia Sophia / Topkapi Palace. Great food and friendly service. They are a no-alcohol establishment and located a few steps away from a historical small mosque. Great option for Muslim tourists in the area.
