As a student who kept switching schools due to my parents’ job, I have been a student here two separate times. I left this year, the food was…interesting. The classes, compared to other schools I’ve been in were much better. Although it had its lows and highs, I found many friends I have to this day.

I was a student at BLIS for 10 years and regret having to leave. Even though BLIS has it's ups and downs as many schools do it is a family. BLIS has a way of making all international and new students feel welcome regardless of their ethnicity, race or religion. The principles treat their students in a way that, although it is still professional, makes students feel at ease and unafraid to approach them.

I cannot express enough how deeply disappointed and appalled I am by the mistreatment that international students endure at blis. My time at this institution has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my experience to caution prospective students and their families.

Firstly, the administration's lack of consideration for international students is staggering. From the moment I arrived, it was evident that there was a blatant disregard for our unique needs and challenges. The school's so-called "support system" for international students is nothing more than a facade. Requests for assistance were met with indifference, and there was a shocking absence of cultural sensitivity.

Moreover, the school seems to have an alarming preference for local students, leaving international students feeling isolated and neglected. There is a pervasive atmosphere of favoritism that infiltrates every aspect of campus life, from extracurricular activities to academic support. It is disheartening to see an educational institution perpetuate such a divisive environment.

The academic experience was equally disheartening. The teaching staff often displayed a lack of understanding of the challenges faced by international students, both linguistically and culturally. Instead of providing the necessary support, they were dismissive and unsympathetic, contributing to a hostile learning environment.

One of the most egregious issues was the way disciplinary matters were handled. International students were disproportionately targeted for minor infractions, and punishments were disproportionately severe. It was as if the administration was using any excuse to make the experience unbearable for us.

I implore any prospective international student considering blis to think twice before enrolling. The mistreatment and discrimination I have witnessed during my time here have left a lasting negative impact on my academic and personal well-being. This institution's utter disregard for the well-being of its international students is shameful and unacceptable. Save yourself the heartache and look elsewhere for a more inclusive and supportive educational environment.

The worst international school we have ever seen. I would give 0 star if it was possible. Pay attention to reviews of expats, it should be a sign for you..It is actually not international, but turkish school in english. May be years ago it was a good school, but now it is a nightmare for kids! Especially if you are not local. Bullying, constant peer pressure, cyber bullying, and no discipline. From principal to teachers everyone would cover all misbehaving in case the parents of the kids are turkish and hold high positions in government or rich businesses men(90% of school)
Students need to go to the tutors after school, most of the teachers speak poor English.
If you are an international parent and don’t want your kid to have a mental break, think twice before you send your kid there.

Like the people (barely half) enough, can't say much for the actual education--board members aren't incentivized to invest in academics and systemic hierarchy and delusion hinders any progress made.
