Meşhur Sultanahmet Köftecisi

This is an old kebab restaurant in the Sultanahmet area. They have a very small menu of less than 20 food items, yet their food is amazing.

They serve lentil soup, a few salads, chicken and lamb kebabs, pickles, pilaf rice, 3 kinds of sweets, and drinks (water, coke, iced tea, juice, and tea).

Their lentil soup is a must-try, and so are their kebabs. Famous people have dined at this extremely small restaurant, and there are pictures of that.

Their service is quick, their staff are courteous, and they accept cash and card payment.

They have a few other branches across Istanbul.

The place is opposite the famous blue mosque/Hagia Sophia and is well presented.
As soon as we entered, we were welcomed by the staff speaking English and seated. The service is super quick and the staff are friendly and very hospitable. And the food is impeccable! We tried the kofte with added yoghurt, chips, and coke. This did not disappoint! The kofte really feels like it is melting in your mouth and it is delicious, especially when paired with the yoghurt. Everything was fresh, well made and comfortable. The prices are also very good and this is definitely a gem you need to try. We will return here again soon!

One of the most famous kofte houses here. They have around 8 items on the menu: 3 mains, 5 sides. They do what they do well: kofte! The flavour is good, as are the serving sizes. Prices are comparable to other places nearby. Definitely check it out when you're in the area.

My gawd their kefte (hamburger) so juicy and so tasty. They make it with charcoal and comes hot. It's simple meat bread but in a traditional way. Loved it

Not all köfte is the same. Here köfte is an interplay of perfect taste, consistency and juiciness. Köfte and ayran and just do not talk but enjoy. Price is fair. Rarely eaten such good köfte worldwide. Definitely a recommendation. You don't have 5 star haute cuisine here, but you have a Mehmet who brings authentic Turkish köfte to your table.

No frills, in your face kufte with some salad and 2 sticks of mild green chilli. Taste? Out of this word and the two worlds after it. You'll want to order another plate after you finish the first one, don't feel guilty, it's worth pigging out. After you finish your meal have some tea and go out to face the world like a boss.

We got a recommendation about this place by someone local, it turned out to be really good. The kufte is the best along with their their special white rice and halwa, simple but best!!

Great experience ! I got a take away , service was quick and friendly. The price was good (82TL for the food in the picture) and it tastes good. I would recommend this place.

Very nice place to have kabab, clean and good prices

We got scammed once in istanbul so we entered this place quite weary and ready to be scammed again .

However we were pleasantly surprised . The food was amazing , fresh , delicious , and prepared fast. The waiters may seem a bit cold but they are very nice.

Prices are more than reasonable and even on the low end ,given the location . Also they give you a basket of bread which is free.
Even if it seems weird to you as a foreigner , go there , you won't be disappointed!

Oldest restaurant here. Just 2-3 things on the menu but nice. Amongst all the touristy places here-this is the best choice
