This is my first time visiting an elephant sanctuary. For my first experience, it was awesome.
Eco Elephant Care is a small family run place with only 3 elephants. The caregivers seem to take very good care of the elephants and they seem to be happy. The "little" one had a lot of energy and wouldn't stop dancing around. Super cute.
I really like this place because they give you a crash course on how they care for the elephants.
The caregiver starts off with an explanation of their diets after which you feed them bananas, sugarcane, sticky rice with salt and tamarine.
After you're done feeding them, he then tells you how they clean them and shows you what they do. They use beaten tree bark to clean them. Once he demonstrates this, you perform the act of beating the bark into a rough sponge. We then take the elephants to the watering hole where we get in with the elephants and clean them with the bark sponges.
Once you're done there, we put on gloves and he gives us a tiny machete to cut down some bamboo stalks to feed the elephants again.

Once we're done that, you can take more pictures and then you're done.

Very educational experience. I would highly recommend.

Highly recommended. You will learn alot about the elephants and also how good they been take care. I'm very happy that we went here.

It was a fun day and we really enjoyed. Elephant keepers were really nice.
Next time when we are in Chiang mai again, we definitely going to here again !
