Wat Doi Thep Nimit is a small Buddhist monastery located on a hilltop overlooking Patong Beach in Phuket, Thailand. It is a popular tourist destination, known for its stunning views, peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful architecture.

Noted from our Hotel Balcony so a tuk tuk up 300thb. Walk down not for faint hearted , no sidewalks. Better ask taxi wait . Peaceful , lovely views. 🙏🙏🏼

We visited 3rd July, 2023, just before sunset 6pm. Breathtaking!

Although the roads leading to this temple is bit difficult as it is situated on the top of mountain but it's worth going there if are into meditation. You can sit, relax and meditate here as very few people come here.

a real monastery in the middle of busy patong. it’s not on the tourist guides so quiet. the monks & staff are very welcoming.

unless you want to walk steep hills take a motor bike or car.

Amazing location. Wonderful views. Take a trip up with a vehicle. Its a bit brutal to walk with the Thailand heat! But definitely a must visit!

Beautiful Buddhist temple with a stunning view of Patong, worth a visit.

I was stunned by the beauty of the place even though got there on a no visit day and wasn't able to get inside the temple. To have the most amazing experience try to take a walk to the temple from Hasippi road and over the mountain (it won't be an easy trip, don't forget the water, all-terrain shoes and ideally some company, and never try this after a heavy rain) — you'll be awarded by a rare vista of Patong Beach from the summit, and finally get some rest near the temple.

Fabulous place bit off the beaten track but worth the drive.tranquil and peaceful.

Beautiful place, stunning sunset, but google maps took us there through the forest, where u can't go by motorbike. So we had to hike up there. Few times we lost the way, bcz google maps decided to stop working and got stuck. While hiking u will definitely remember all your sins and have an idea to stay in the monastery😄 The only advice to those, who wants to visit this place - don't trust google maps, double check your path, and watch it by satellite.

A temple on the top-hill of Patong

It is a good place for meditation retreat. It is a Dhammayutha buddhism temple so the monks here are very strict; eat one meal a day, don't take money (you can donate in the provided boxes), do a lot meditation.

The view is really great. windy but not cold.

Note: because it is one a top-hill, the way to the temple is very steep, cars with much power or unprofessional drivers cannot go to the top. please be careful

This temple is very beautiful with fantastic views of the coastline of Patong and Koron Beach!

This new temple on the hill of Patong will be very nice and quiet. I just took some photos at sunset... I really like this location.

Go there is nice, walking is kind of steep but worth, take always a few liters and something for give you energy! Enjoy it.

A beautiful temple - from our hotel we could see it up in the hills so decided to go and find it. It is quite small but just as stunning as larger temples. It was very quiet only one other visitor when we were there. The colours beautiful as always and you can feel the calm and respect all around
