RED MOUNTAIN GOLF CLUB

Lovely course. We were able to book online in advance, this included booking a set of clubs (very nice clubs I must add - got a set of Titeist T300's). The club organized a transfer to the club and back to the hotel. The team was ready for us when we arrived and made the "check-in" process seamless.
The course is well designed and quite challenging but it was a great experience. The caddies are also great, their sense of humor and overall friendliness made our casual game even more enjoyable.
I'm still in shock at how much it costs to play golf in Thailand.

Outstanding!! There are not enough superlatives to describe this course. I'm a fussy golfer and I expect the best. My home course in Canada, Tarandowah Golfers Club, is a Martin Hawtree links design that is ranked 32nd best public course in Canada and 76th best overall so you can understand my fussiness.

Red Mountain is truly beautiful and a great design. I have golfed all around the world including Seta where the LPGA play the Japan Open, and Vidanta where PGA has Mexico Open next week, Crooked Cat at Orange County National in Florida, Kiawah Island, South Carolina, Pinehurst, North Carolina, Bear Mountain in British Columbia. Red Mountain beats them all ... by far. The design and layout is incredible with many elevation changes. Each hole has a unique character about it and it flows so nicely from one hole to the next. Beautiful vistas on every hole.

My caddie Fang (006) was awesome. If she tells you line and speed, believe her because she was always right. She offered perfect target lines on all drives as well. Her sister Nan (009) was really good too. Many thanks to Candice in Marketing for arranging my tee times. She responds to emails within minutes!!

Free wifi in clubhouse and restaurant is a nice touch as well. Prices for golf apparel in clubhouse and food in restaurant are very reasonable.

I was only planning on playing 2 rounds per week for the time I'm in Phuket because I'm a poor retiree 😊, but I bumped it up to 3 rounds because it really is that good. I was quite surprised how green the course was, and how good the greens were because it hasn't rained. They must put a lot of water to it and they must take extraordinary care to keep it in such good shape. Greens were firm and fast and ran true.

All the staff from the greeters, to clubhouse staff, to the waitresses were very friendly and helpful. I wish I lived closer. I might have to move here. One last thing ... I teed off just before noon and we got around in under 3 hours. Wowza! The perfect golf day.

We got lucky with the weather and had clear skies throughout our time there. As others have mentioned previously, the course is wonderful but quite challenging and the greens are quick! I’m not sure how things are during wetter days but the fairways were quite nice when we played.

The caddies are amazing. They do all the driving for you (which makes sense since the paths can get pretty twisty and inclined at places). I had a caddie by the name of Palm, and she was absolutely wonderful, so a big thank you to her.

After the round we had a meal at the clubhouse and it was delicious. I would highly recommend grabbing a bite there even if you’re not playing. The staff were all courteous and friendly and honestly we had a great time there.

The pro shop has several nifty items, and was a great place to pick up a few souvenirs. The staff here too was warm and friendly!

I did not use the showers and the changing rooms, so can’t comment on them.

The only let down (and I’m nitpicking here) was the air pressure hoses (the ones used to clean your shoes after a round). I found them a little weak to my liking and they didn’t do an adequate job. Perhaps the nozzle was missing?

All in all, I had an absolute blast, despite the heat. I would definitely visit again next time I get the chance to head to Phuket!

Incredible golfing experience. Had a wonderful day.Course is challenging but literally every single hole provides a stunning view. But the was made incredibly special by the Caddie (Lily - #77) . She had amazing golfing sense and is able to quickly decipher your golfing style and generally enhances your golfing experience by her friendly demeanour, positivity and great knowledge about the course. All the staff - from check in ( Apple) , staging, locker room and kiosks were really courteous and professional. I would strongly recommend any golfer visiting Phuket not to miss this amazing experience.

Superb course, every hole is picturesque. Good level of difficulty and the greens are very deceptive on slope and speed so trust your caddy! Great service from all of the staff, can't wait for the next time!

The price dropped significantly during Covid-19. This give me the chance to play here with Tour-Tiew-Thai at even lower price. I give five stars ++ to this course. Layout is fun. View is magnificent. Green is fast. Overall not very hard from weekend with handicap 20+ like me to play with fun. Compare with Blue Canyon which you need quite accurate approach shot to green or drop in bunker on front or back. Here is not so difficult as that.

Will surely come back to play anytime I have a chance to visit Phuket. Already one of my favorite course in Thailand.

I had Na as my caddy. She was outstanding! Best caddy I’ve had by far playing both in the US and abroad. I played morning of 1/23/23. Course was in great shape.

Played the back most tees and it was a challenge, but fair. Blind shots, forced Carries, tight fairways, and undulating greens. Well worth it for single digit handicaps and below. I’ll be back!

This was my first Thailand golf course, and I was very impressed. It was pricey, with total cost including club rental being around 6000 baht. A caddy and cart are mandatory, and tip for the caddy is recommended at 400 baht. However, I don't do this kind of course often, so I was.more than happy to pay the money and have this experience. You don't need a handicap to play, which is great, just don't be be too slow. The course is surrounded by jungle, and the scenery within the course is incredible. It is a little hard, but doable, even for an average to poor player like myself. The caddy was brilliant, she knew the course very well. I'd definitely go again. The best way to book a course in Phuket is to go via an agency, as then will respond immediately and organise transfers etc. You could book directly, but I found it easier this way.

Great course layout and really lush. Reminds me a lot of Kapalua golf course on Maui. Prices are a bit high to play often but worth it on occasion.

Beautiful course! Amazingly well kept grounds, great course layout and stunning scenery. It was an enjoyable day of golf, rented clubs, fully caddied round. The caddies provided excellent service and made the round much more enjoyable. Can't say enough about our fabulous round of golf at the Red Mountain Club. Can't wait to return to Phuket and play another round of golf here!

Beautiful course and great pricing with caddy and cart. The clubhouse has everything you need for rental: golf shoes and clubs.

Tremendous, as Mr Trump would say... beautiful, greens were slowish but held a 4 iron from 230 yards.. caddies good.. and what a setting..one of the best courses I have ever played...

Great layout and challenging. A lot of risk and reward holes. Course was in decent shape for all the rain Phuket got. Definitely will come back again soon.

Very good and challenging course. All the staffs and the caddy's were so good and helpful. All the caddy's know the course and all you have to do is follow and play your Game. Thanks to the Red Mountain Golf Club

Course is beautiful and challenging with a lot of water and other hazards. It's a fun course though. Caddies are nice and friendly. Price is a little high but sometimes they will offer up a slight discount if you're lucky and they have a special promotion running.

The clubhouse is a little bit of a drive from the main gate and there is some construction going on between the main gate and clubhouse.

Great golf course... Mountain type golf course and it is very challenging...

Good challenging course. Had a round here with NDC62. Fairways were undulating, Greens were soft. Caddie was professional, giving good advices. Would love to come again. Facilities were good. Clean and modern.

We had a good game at Red Mountain. Thanks to N’Prim my lovely caddie for a good company during my game. Looking forward to play here again next year. 😊
