Lamphun is the capital of Lamphun Province. The city is located only 24 kilometers south of Chiang Mai and therefore ideal for a daytrip. If you want to see Thailand unspoiled from tourists, this is the place to go. Since the city was founded around 660 a.D. there is much history to discover and many photo oportunities as well. You won't be dissapointed!
