Fantastic airport that is very efficient. Has all of the services you need. Plenty of transport options from car rental to taxi. If you have someone picking you up, meet outside of Door 2. Very close to the city and seemingly never feels overcrowded. #travelthailand

There are no taxis that ask for exorbitant fares like in other countries. Thai people are all nice and friendly. Thank you to the people and the king. I had a good vacation. I will come again next time.

The airport is very close to the old town (15 minutes).
Airport departure has plenty of food and beverage options. Subway, McDonald's, Burger King, Thai restaurants.
Air-conditioned and well organised.
Security queue was almost 40 minutes long, the day of my departure, so bear that in mind.

It is an easy airport to get around and finding key travel essential like Currency Exchage service, local bank ( KBANK), AVIS, Thai rent a car, Budget, airport taxi, and package tour. Flights seem to land and takes off at every hour so thats quite frequent and convenient.

Chiang Mai International Airport, located in northern Thailand, offers a pleasant and convenient travel experience. During my recent visit, I found that the prices of products and services at the airport were quite reasonable. Additionally, the airport itself was not overly large but still modern and efficient.

One aspect that stood out to me was the affordability of the goods available at the airport. Whether it was souvenirs, snacks, or duty-free items, I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. It was refreshing to see that the airport did not take advantage of tourists by inflating prices unnecessarily.

The airport, while not as sprawling and busy as some other international airports, still provided all the necessary amenities and facilities. From check-in to security, everything was well-organized and efficient. Despite its smaller size, the airport had a modern and clean appearance, with comfortable seating areas and clear signage.

When it came to dining options, the choices were a bit limited. The majority of the available options were fast food or quick-service restaurants. While these options may not offer the most gourmet or authentic dining experiences, they did serve their purpose for a quick and convenient meal before or after a flight. I would have appreciated a wider variety of dining options, including more local cuisine.

Overall, I found Chiang Mai International Airport to be a pleasant and satisfactory travel hub. The reasonable prices of products and services were a definite highlight, making it a budget-friendly option for travelers. While the dining options were somewhat limited, the airport's modern and efficient facilities compensated for this minor inconvenience. For those traveling to or from Chiang Mai, this airport provides a convenient and hassle-free experience.

It is not big, but it is self-sufficient. I had to wait for an hour before I cleared the customs. They opened up one more line instead of having only queue when it became more crowded. As there was no queue at 9am when reached, the lady at the check-in counter suggested that I have my breakfast before checking in. I went back at 10am to a long queue.

I recently visited the Chiang Mai Airport and was impressed with my experience. The airport is very accommodating for individuals with disabilities and pregnant women. The airport is also very clean, which made me feel more comfortable during my visit. The availability of clean drinking water and hot water was very helpful, and I appreciated this amenity the most. The food outlets at the airport were also very impressive, with a variety of options available, including halal and non-halal food. The airport is conveniently located near the center of Chiang Mai, making it easily accessible.

This airport is near the city. It takes around 15 mins by car, so convenience, it is not small airport. Also have stores for foods and others.

Small quaint airport with everything you need inside. Friendly and helpful staff! My first time in Chiang Mai, and also first time flying domestic flight, Nok Air, to Bangkok! ☺💖🤩✈

The front staff was so kind and gave a free keychain in celebration of their nineteenth anniversary, which I hung on my travel bag immediately😊. I love you Chiang Mai! The quaintness of this place and hospitality of the people will always be remembered and etched in my memory. 🥰🫶

Perfect size international airport that’s located within the city limits. Check in is quick as is baggage pick up. Thankfully the Airport doesn’t have much overpriced shopping stores and so called "duty free" like most airports that are farther out from any normal commercial area.This makes the airports much easier to navigate and speeds things up. Taxis are right outside the door
from baggage pick up.

This is a nice airport. It might not be new, but from what I saw it's maintained well. The airport staff were all courteous, helpful, and patient during my interactions with them. That goes for when I arrived at the international terminal and departed at the domestic 2 weeks later. Just remember, Entrance 1 is where the taxis are located upon arrival.

This is the domestic terminal of chiang mai International Airport. Facilities such as money exchange, cafes, car rent etc. are available here. There are toilets for the disabled.

Very organized airport in Chiang Mai, Thailand Flying internationally here to Thailand was so easy.
I was stressing about my visa on arrival.

I got off the plane and walked through customs. It took all of 5 minutes. Way, too, go . It was so fast I thought I had to do something else. Nope, 45 days in Thailand stamped on my visa, and I was out the door.

Now you can get your sim card here. You can also get it at a 7-Eleven in town.

You can also exchange your money here. Because the atms will charge you 250 baht every time.

They have this cab service. Limo service they call it. For a big group, it might be worth it.But they wanted over 400 baht. I used the Grab for half the price. Check the app before you make a decision.

I come here many times.I like that this airport have many shops that I can shopping inside. When I still outside I can buy souvenirs from the local shop that selling at the gate to entrance and when I sitting to wait the airplane,there r the book store, coffee shop that I can have coffee water sandwiches soft drinks,clean toilets and enough seats that I can sit .I like that here are clean and good environment.

Very well organised from check-in to departure. Shops and FnB outlets are reasonably priced. Duty free for liquor is just a small outlet.

Small but only international airport in Chiang Mai.
Airport to downtown is only 15-20mintues away.
Car park is limited by the airport building but there is bigger parking building available.

Arrival hall :

There is taxi counter to pay and order taxi. Most of hotels in town is only 150baht.
It is better than waiting for grab or bolt driver to come.
You can save time if you just take taxi. When many airplane landed , sometimes more than 30 minutes to 1hour to get a grab or bolt.

International Departure hall :

You should tell taxi driver to go to Domesti or international counter bcoz couters are located in opposite side of building.

As of Feb.2023 , most of shops are open for business.

Two coffee shops open in the morning.

-Black canyon opens around 8:00am.
- yes coffee opens around 7:30am.

Also two Airport lounges available to take a rest. Thai royal orchard lounge and Caral lounge .

Smooth process through the airport although my bag was lost but the attendant was quick to work and it was found within 10 minutes.
Clean airport with decent toilets.
The Bangkok Bank ATM was not working immediately outside the international arrivals area!
However the Bangkok Bank ATM outside the domestic arrivals area is working.

Chiang Mai International Airport is one of the largest airports in Thailand, very spacious and comfortable. The flight attendants here are very polite and friendly, the flight service is also very good at a relatively cheap price. I have had great flights here.
