Kalima Resort

This hotel has spectacular views, with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The room was very clean and the staff were super helpful. We wanted to add an extra night, which was only doable online as per customer service via telephone which was significantly more expensive. We went to the front desk and Abner was able to have us stay in the same room, for discounted price and breakfast included. The only downside of the hotel is that it is a bit far from town and the taxis can get expensive (300 baht one way). They have a free shuttle service but it follows a schedule and isn’t the most convenient. The restaurants are also pretty pricey - best to go in Patong. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you want a nice quiet getaway!

I have to update my review because of the positive experience with Abner. He was always very polite and helpful, resolving all issues immediately to our best satisfaction. A master in his field, Kalima can be glad to have a man like Abner here. By far the best man, and I wish him and the hotel all the best.

The rooms definitely deserve five stars. They were spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, making us feel very comfortable during our stay. The location of the hotel was perfect for us - centrally located yet quiet with a magnificent view. It was exactly what we were looking for.

Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Some staff members were not very accommodating and did not seem interested in helping us with questions or concerns. This clouded our experience somewhat. However, there were, of course, also very good people!!

There were some difficulties at the beginning, but the staff responded quickly and resolved the issues immediately. After that, everything went smoothly.

The spa and massage were definitely highlights of our stay. The facilities were top-notch and the staff was professional and friendly. We really enjoyed relaxing there.

Overall, our stay was mixed. While the rooms and the location of the hotel were great, the service was disappointing.

Wow , what can I say Our stay at Kamila Resort surpassed all expectations. The room and service were exceptional. We opted for a pool access room, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The room itself was spacious, boasting a generous bathroom and lounge area. The highlight was undoubtedly the plunge pool, which seamlessly connected to the shared infinity pool, offering breathtaking views of the sea. The attentive service from all staff members, notably Abner and Joe from the front desk, deserves special mention. They took exemplary care of us, catering to our every need with warmth and efficiency. Our experience at Kamila Resort was truly exceptional, and we can't wait to return.

This is a place where for the first time in my Thailand trip I saw smiling and welcoming Thai people. Thanks Kalima staff and for this gesture only I give them a five Star rating. Obviously the resort is beautiful and situated at an awesome location. Breakfast and rooms are top notch.

Clean, beautiful resort with excellent staff & service. Best breakfast buffet I’ve ever seen & enjoyed! Pool access room was lovely & extremely clean pools. Good options for dining & drinks at this large lovely resort. Fantastic kids play are, pool with slides & kids club🙌We really enjoyed the private beach at the very back of resort! You just need to negotiate & walk over a floating, pontoon boardwalk to enjoy a lovely clean beach swim❤Large back area for kids play & a good back bar area for parents while overseeing children🙂We will be back next year! 10/10

I love this resort!! The room was really clean and spacious. Room service is 24/7 so after a night out we would order room service & the food was so good! The prices were also very reasonable. The staff were also super kind and helpful. Abner was very helpful during our stay and answered all our questions.

Best place ever! Everyone at this hotel was excellent. Delicious food, beautiful scenery, and pleasant room & service. The staff allowed me to smoke on the balcony. I was very happy!! Unbelievable experience!! I will definitely go back to Kalima Resort in Phuket, if the law still stays the same. Great location & place to have a good night sleep.

We have spent 4D3N in this place. The check-in procedure goes without a hitch, and they have a sweet birthday surprise ready for our son at room. It is well-known for its infinity pools and breathtaking views. We had dinner at Malika Sky Bar the meal was quite fantastic, especially the large grilled seabass, And the staff(Ms. Kwangg & Kwangle) was extremely friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff worked quickly and neatly to clean our room after breakfast, which was constantly disorganised by our kids. The breakfast is fantastic; there were lots of options, and the Mr. Lim (trainee) and other trainees at the terrace restaurant provide great service as well. Last but not least, Ms. Omi at the front desk is really helpful. My son dropped a toys at their little waterfall in the lobby, and Omi & her friend helped us retrieve it. Overall, our stay was enjoyable and had excellent warm service. We will surely refer Kalima Resort Phuket to our colleagues and friends. Thank you.

This resort was perfect! If youre planning on staying here get the pool access room & thank me later. Breakfast was great! Staff were wonderful. We loved it here and wish we stayed longer.

The resort was excellent. The service at the reception is lovely. Everything they help and give a good feeling. There are shuttles to the Patong area from the hotel. It is 10 minutes away, which is great because you don't hear all the hustle and bustle going on there. Excellent breakfast, fun pool with a bar in the middle of the pool. In the evening there is a bar upstairs, a Japanese restaurant and another restaurant that is open. The hotel gives a feeling of pampering and a real vacation. We were upgraded to a room with a nicer view and it was really fun.

Amazing resort. The staff is excellent and the rooms are very nice. Great pool, very solid breakfast buffet.

Only downsides are the location and the bedding. Also they allow smoking at the pool and on your room balcony.

The location requires that you taxi or take the provided shuttle to Patong, which I would recommend anyway. Personally Patong is a skip for me, stay at the resort instead.

The bed is like sleeping on a piece of wood, and the pillows feel like rocks. If that’s your thing, then great. I still slept decently, but I would think a pillow top and new pillows would be a game changer.

Also make it a smoke free resort and it would be amazing.

Great resort. We were upgraded to ocean view room. The ocean view was spectacular from the room. Infinity pool is must go place when in Kalima resort. Excellent views of sunset. Food spread and quality was very good. You can request chef if you have any specific. A perfect gateway to relax and spend quality time with your loved ones!

Kalima is a lovely resort, with luxurious sized rooms, perfect for family. The resort has amazing swimming pool and quite a great breakfast spread. Their roof top restaurant provides splendid view of the bay. The sunset spot is one of the prettiest in the entire Phuket. To top it all, the service is excellent. Especially i would like to call out Abner and Tony for their great, friendly and warm reception, they patiently answered our questions, patiently explained us about the resort, and meeting to our requests. Definitely I want to visit again. Thanks to the Kalima team for making our stay great.

We spent a week at Kalima recently and were very impressed by our stay overall. Our room was filled with plenty of much-appreciated amenities such as toiletries, robes, beach bags & towels. The view overlooking Patong Bay from the pool was something we enjoyed every day.

The hotel was definitely filled with lots of activities and things to do, such as archery, mini golf, as well as music/entertainment in the evenings. We also enjoyed the happy hour drinks in the pool bar, however, I wouldn’t say that this hotel is really great value compared to Thai prices out of the hotel, but I guess this is to be expected.

With so many ‘Instagrammable’ views and features in the hotel, please be warned that the hotel does attract a lot of influencer-type clientele, who were rather preoccupied with taking selfies for hours in the pool rather than actually enjoying themselves.

If you struggle with your mobility, I would also highlight that the hotel is built up an incredibly steep hill, by which we had to climb at least 6 flights of stairs to reach our room from the street.

The free shuttle bus was great and handy to visit Patong, but wish there were more convenient/frequent times on offer.

Please also visit Ab Zab opposite the hotel for authentic Thai food - we ate there 3 times after a disappointing and very expensive meal at the Kalima rooftop restaurant.

Overall, we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend this place to friends!

Had a quite relaxing vacation with amazing quality food & super amazing spa along with a bonus breathtaking view for your holiday pictures. We indeed had a great stay hope we visit again.
Pros -
1. Excellent rooms with nicely done open bathrooms & bath tubs.
2. Great infinity pool with bar and an amazing sunset.
3. Breathtaking view from rooms and restaurants which makes this place amazing for holiday pictures.
4. Each and every food that I ordered at the room was excellent quality with great taste. Their mango sticky rice with coconut milk is a must have. I have tried several places but this was the best one with a slight twice. Must try dish. Also the Salmon steak & Tom Kha was excellent quality.
5. SPA - we took the Monday 1+1 offer which was the best decision. It was worth the money. All our muscles were completely relaxed and we slept that night like anything. If you are staying at the property then SPA is a must try.
6. There mobile apps is absolutely great and user friendly. We did not had to talk to any staff for any information and was super helpful with quick access from transportation to food to all nearby places to visit in Phuket with pricing of transportation. Also loved the part that the smart TV they have in the room you can sync your mobile which was great for us to listen to some relaxing music.

Cons-
1. Hotel is huge so you will have to use stairs for rooms on 4th floor and above. So if you have any issues after check-in you should let the reception know. I did got a call from hotel reception asking me if I want to change my room which is great hospitality. But for me it was good workout on stairs to burn some calories so I choose a room with higher floor.
2. I wish they increase the frequency of free shuttle to Patong Beach and also the last bus is around 7:30 pm which if increased to 9 pm it can help. Because taxi charges 400 Baht one way.

Phenomenal five star resort. From heated toilet seats, spacious room, heated pool with infinity edge and a bar in the pool.
The restaurant is on the sky level has incredible views and nightly entertainment. I had the best squid I have ever had.

Could not fault this hotel for the price, all the staff are so welcoming and nice, especially Tony the duty manager his service was impeccable! Would definitely come again.

The Yoga with Phak was amazing- definitely worth an hour each morning. Lots of activities provided at hotel- yoga , mini golf, table tennis, pool as well as an amazing infinity pool.

My fiance & I booked a 1:1 Muay Thai boxing session whilst staying at the hotel. Having done Muay Thai back in Australia I had always been excited to try a class in Thailand. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to give it a try or perfect their skills. The instructors are wonderful and also teach yoga every morning. A great experience!!!
