This place is huge... there are multiple buildings as well as a market to explore. Besides the huge and impressive statues, there is also a big 🪷 lotus shaped structure in the river you can walk out to (not sure if this is a permanent fixture). They have some animals you can feed and pop culture statues that should excite the kids. We spent 4 hours here. Nearby there is a hospital which has a newly constructed statue and a big golden rock you can go inside, check that out too if you have time. You can take a tuk tuk from Chachoengsao station to the temple's market, just be aware it's not that easy to come back from the temple. They have trucks that come back to the bus station and train station, check the times after you arrive. Highly recommended. Entry is free.

In addition, Chachoengsao province is famous for its mangoes. During the mango season, Fruits Festivals are held every year. Currently, in Chachoengsao province, there are many great religious buildings built together that attract new tourist over the year. And this is such a great place i proud to being a Hindu

It took about 2 hours by chartered cab from Bangkok city to arrive.
In addition to the Ganesha statue, there are other unique statues such as Japanese cartoon characters.
There is also a food stall restaurant where we can have a meal.
On sunny days, it is very hot, so don't forget to drink water!

Good place to spend a weekend on. Many street shops are available and reasonably priced. Plan ahead for a weekend visit as you can possibly face a big crowd of people, heavy traffic and limited parking lots. Great location next to Bangprakong River.

This area is combination between Chinese and Hinduism God and Goddesses. Good air, beautiful landscape and each spot easy to walk in, even with wheelchair. One of my favorite temple in Thailand.

Wat Saman Rattanaram is a place of worship for Hindus and Buddhists with huge statues of Ganesha, Indra and chinese god of mercy, Guanyin.
It is 1.5 hours drive by car from Bangkok city in Chachoengsao district and the region is full of green fields and small villages away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
There is a big lotus sculpture in the river and huge serpents on the bank of the river.
A replica of the golden rock of Myanmar stands in the parking lot.
There are many shops selling food, drinks, souvenirs and clothes. You can have a taste of authentic Thai cuisine from the streets.
Opposite to the parking lot is an idol of child Ganesh where devotees offer toys to the god.
Return taxi booking with a round trip is highly recommended which costs anywhere between 2500 to 3000 THB for one day (10 hours) depending on the type of vehicle you select but is worth it.
You can also visit International Ganesh park which has the world's biggest bronze statue of Ganesh and Wat Phrong buddhist temple in the neighbourhood.
A one day trip to this place is an ideal getaway from the city crowd.
It is a local tourist destination not many tour operators cover.

This temple is a must-visit! There's a huge statue of Ganesh, which is the main eye catcher here. There are also statues of deities which usually can be found at Chinese temples.
Along the way to the statues, which are located along the river, there is also a big market which sells everything from food to souvenirs.
It's a really nice place to be and easy for a daytrip from Bangkok.

I paid this temple a visit during a cloudy day. The atmosphere inside is very tranquil and relaxed. Along with a few Chinese shrines, there is a Ganesh and a few other statues. Nice neat pagoda on the river, built to resemble a nimphea flower. Colorful dragons for decoration. Very interesting to see. There is an average car park in front and a coffee shop selling hot and fresh beverages if you want to have a refresh. Beautiful environment, would visit again.

A temple complex originally built to worship the Hindu God Kanesha. Thais often worship or at least pray to Kanesha for success which has been more common in the past decade or so in Thailand.

Worshippers may offer the usual incense and candles among a miriad of other offerings that people seem to drum up every year. It's a popular practice for those visiting to whisper their wish to the mouse statues facing Kanesha as it is commonly believed that they will deliver your prayer to Kanesha acting as his messengers.

The complex has since expanded to house large statues of Guan Yin, Bhrama and Buddha. You'll also see many pop culture minor statues erected to (more often than not) pacify children. Characters such as Anime characters, Transformers and DC characters. Can be found around the complex.

There's plenty of parking and a food court comprised of pop-up stores and riverside restaurant.
A 20 minute river cruise is also available for those interested.

Yes, toilets are available, the situp kind.

This Wat is a bit out of the way but it is popular. I last went there a few years ago and in spite of covid and everything, there were as many people here this time as last time.

The statues are all colourful and huge. Apart from the dozen or so rat statues: they are person size and colourful, so relatively massive for a rat!
