Naga Statue

Having read the excellent google review written by "Phyo Min Maung" a few days ago, there's really nothing more I could add. I did visit during the middle of the day when it's very hot so probably better to go near sunset as others have suggested.

Amazing place, beautiful statues and the street food is something to savoir. There's always a little festival happening and well worth a visit, even met an elephant walking around, loved it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was our first time visiting the area. The two water serpents were very impressive and imposing looking. I did not expect them to be a big water fountain. The area is well maintained and it frames the entrance to Laos very well. I think it is a great cultural area for understanding the local traditions. I recommend visiting this site if you want to know the locals.

Just beautiful place to enjoy the sunset. We visited the nearby market and took a stroll along the river, enjoyed the street food and drink. The statue is iconic of Nong Khai.

A landmark statue in Nong Khai at the Mekong River close to walking street. Don’t do the same mistake I did and go there at daytime around lunchbox afternoon as it was burning hot. Go just before sunset like 1830

It's more beautiful when you come at night. Also, there is a lot of street food along this road. You can park your motor on the side of the road.

Popular spot for tourists to walk around for food, light shopping & enjoy the scenic view of the Mekong river & across to Laos.

Simply loved the place. Situated in MeKong river bank, this place along with its surroundings mesmerizes you. Great place for a evening walk A number of food vendors and souvenir shops are nearby. Highly recommend it.

Visited the temple in Khon Kaen, really big and so amazing inside. You can up go upstairs for a view of the city.

Great place to see the large Naga Statues. Walk on the river and visit local markets and restautants and Temples. Sunsets can be beautiful looking across the river at Lao.

Beautiful statue with some amazing views surrounding it. If your in the area it's well worth a visit.

These statues are large and very beautiful. I felt protected with them around. 😬

Nong Kai is another nice place to visit in Thailand. The boardwalk where these Naga are located is a very cool space. There are restaurants and coffee shops near by.

Good atmosphere, not very crowded, good spot for sunset. River front and it is FREE!
