This was our first time to go to this market. Initially I thought the market was small but in the end it was very large. It was so large that we were not able to see all of it. There were many people and many stores. The stores were very interesting and the price of work excellent. If you're in the area I would recommend coming and visiting this market it is the most interesting thing I saw here.

Known by some as the 'Tha Sadej Market' and or 'Indochina Market', it is one of Nong Khai's more famous tourist attractions. I have visited many times over the years, purchasing food, textiles and even a selfie stick. Beyond shopping, it is mostly a covered, flat, thus I find, highly enjoyable place, to go on a walkabout, too.

Nice market in Nong Khai. It is big and very close to Mekong river... There are many different types of goods and many restaurants and coffee shops so you can enjoy shopping whatever you want.

Good to have a walk and check out the shop. Items sold are same like on every market. Good thing here is you have shadow.

Nong Khai is beautiful. Awesome market too! Very clean and nice wide aisles. Lots of higher-end feeling vendors and shops.

Nong khai is really affordable and laidback. It's been a year or two since I've been to the night market on Saturday...wow! It was good before, but it has really added more stalls, great selection of food.

Good place to buy souviniers. But have to slash a little price. If not price can be alittle high. Overall I enjoyed the place. Remember to walk near the river to take some photos

Also known as the Indochina market, Tha Sadet market sells all sorts of what I would call bits and bobs and other items including cheap t-shirts, electrical items, snacks, and souvenirs. Mostly imported from China and Laos.

There are some interesting and unique items sold within the market among the bits and bobs, and as with most cheap market places there’s usually something useful for everyone to buy.

It’s a large indoor market and can get pretty hot inside during the hotter months after 12pm. It’s better to visit earlier if possible.
Worth checking out if you’re staying in Nong Khai for a night or two.
If you’re staying in Nong Khai on a Saturday night then you are in luck. Saturday night hosts the riverfront market which is lively and a lot more fun with entertainment.
If you haven’t booked a place to stay as yet there are many hotels and guesthouses near this market and the area is the ideal location for travellers (i.e., close to restaurants, transport etc).

I enjoyed looking at the different stalls. Plenty of variety. The people on the selling goods were not pushy and let you look, offering assistance when needed. I bought more here and a greater variety compared to markets in other towns. Well worth the look.
