Good language skills but most importantly he isn’t anxious to do surgery on me. Convinced me to wait on several tendons.
Accessible without appointment after workday hours. Has done 6 consultations where the staff waived me off of paying any fee at all. Ive seen him ten times. 3 of those I was charged for but included X-rays and cortisone. He is my guy for all things ortho. Expat community and thais are blessed to have him

My wife visited as she was having back pain, no appointment needed. Dr. speaks good english, had a x-ray done. Costs were reasonable.

Excellent. Dr. Chanakarn's English, as opposed to some comments on here that were baffling, is excellent as was his treatment. I had broken ribs and a broken hip (femoral neck), which he diagnosed properly after ordering an MRI. The doctor at the hospital wasn't able to find the problem (the angle of the x-ray made this particular type of fracture difficult to diagnose), but Dr. Chanakarn got me through everything very well. I have no reservation at all in highly recommending him.
Oh... another comment I saw on here about outdated equipment. Do people not realize that x-ray technology is very old!? You don't need the newest and fanciest machine with all the bells and whistles to take an x-ray! Analyzing the x-ray is where the rubber meets the road. That's where the hospital doctor failed and Dr. Chanakarn succeeded, along with understanding that even further, an MRI was necessary in order to be able to get a more accurate diagnosis.

Dr. Chanakarn is amazing. I had bad arthritis in both knees. With injections given over 4 years ago I have had no discomfort since. I also had a trigger thumb was diagnosed immediately and a simple surgery corrected this. Dr. Chanakarn has his own walk-in clinic where I found the service was very efficient and professional. The doctor speaks excellent English.

Knowledgeable, friendly and quick. Very satisfied.

Der Mann hat mir vor einem Jahr links ein neues Hüftgelenk eingesetzt - und zwar perfekt!! Ich konnte bereits nach 7 Tagen mit nur einer Krücke gehen und nach 2 Wochen wieder ohne.

I had lower backpain. The doctor checked my body a bit, but I had hoped he'd check more. I had an X-ray, but I wasn't very happy with it, because they seem to do it without using the protection jacket! (I only got one after requesting it). Got some medicine against the pain that helped. And got the X-Ray on CD which was nice.

Not the clinic we would recommend.
The language skills (Englilsh) are rather basic and the machinery is not up to date.

I was not impressed with his knowledge at all. I paid for x-rays. He didn't understand them and asked me what he was looking at. He said that the condition was too complicated for him. I've met 5 other expats with the same condition I have in the past week who were all told by him that European skeletal structures are different from Thai, and he can't treat them. Had he told me that when I emailed for a consultation beforehand, I would have saved the time and money.
