It's listed as an art museum but it's also a place build to worship Lord Ganesha / Ganesh. The owner had a short chat with us and he said Lord Ganesha came to him in him in his dreams so he build this to commerate Lord Ganesha. The owner said the main statue is made from a single log of wood. Quite a magnificent wood carving

They have an annual event here but I can't seem to find my info now. Will update this post once I find it

Wife was not around the first trip here so I made offerings on her behalf.

Parking :
You will need to park at the main road away from the museum

It's a very beautiful place of Thai art. The house is amazing by itself. It is made of wood. Frescoes and paintings are magnificent

Pretty private gallery of Hindu art that's open to the public for free. Peaceful ambience, friendly owner. Worth popping by if you are already in the area for the nearby hiking trails.

Much more than a museum; the fabulous art and craft pieces are intended for a huge project, which will be completed over the next several years. Full of contemporary and traditional styles of Eastern religious artworks, crafted in wood, ceramic, glass ... both paintings and relief-work.

We have visited the art gallery Jan. 2019. We saw a lot of amazing artistic outputs such as sculptures, glasses, pictures in the center. Even the building was completed with 2 inch thick trophical woods conveyed by elephants. Many young artists in the building still draw pictures with gold, silver, and bronze. The art center will be completed in 2025.

When you are visiting Chiang Mai, be sure to include this amazing shrine and art gallery to your list of places to visit. You can see the artists working as they create wonderful new works to add to the collection on display. There are also items for purchase and lots of information available from the owner about art, carving, religion, and even local history. This place is managed by the same owner who created the world's largest wooden Brahma statue site, which is also worth visiting in Chiang Mai, plus another giant Ganesh shrine in Korat.

Highly recommended. Fabulous grounds, a very wooden house that has a great feel, interesting, varied and very representative collection of art - and there's not too much of it. It's efficient in its diversity. Great hidden gem for a quick visit. Coffee shop on weekends & holidays; coconut water on other days. Sitting area is very nice. Plus many nearby cafes (I recommend Base Camp) and you really should visit nearby restaurant Galae for the lake, flowers, semi-immersion in nature and a great menu (albeit a tad $$ compared to other local spots).

Amazing temple. The ongoing artistry and construction juxtaposes beautifully with the high quality that is finished. A unique place in Chiang Mai.

Beautiful museum tucked in nature close to the university. Amazing cafe run by the friendliest Thai people you could meet. Free entry and they even greeted us with a delicious free brownie at the cafe. Nearby are other attractions and the Chiang Mai University.
