Opportunity to visit the palace gardens today prior to trekking, first time after over 2 years in the area. very well worth the visit. Gardens are beautiful. and actually, today wasn't busy and gave chance to roam around and look at some of the amazing plants flowers and gardens.

Visit outside of the Bhubing Palace during a weekday visit to the mountain, nice local stall with reasonable prices and delicious food before driving to Mhong Hill-tribe village next 15 minutes

Beautiful grounds and some of the most amazing roses I have ever seen. Both their size and colors are truly remarkable. The site is a short drive from Doi Suthep and well worth it as an extension to your visit to the area.

Incredibly well maintained grounds with Beautiful flower gardens. Security is tighter then most places (it is a palace grounds after all). There is a higher price for foreigners, but not as unreasonable as many places, and you have to sign in. Overall if you enjoy a walk among well maintained flowers and grounds you will enjoy this place.

Nice place to relax. There are quite a few steps, as a heads up. Nice gardens to tour.

The guards are strict about the no-shorts policy, so plan ahead. 50/- to enter for foreigners.

I feel fortune to be able to step onto the grounds of this Thai Royal Palace. The grounds a breathtaking, with an awesome medley assortment of flowers, a few hiking paths. It is a bit more costly to enter, and there are dress codes to enter as well (due to this being a Royal Palace). The village of to the side of the palace is quaint, and serves as a nice stop for some great colorful flag pictures!! If visiting early in the morning, make sure to bring a jacket!

There are many flowers and trees here.
This is such a great place for you to enjoy the beauty of nature also. I am impressed with the way the make the concrete steps with the leaf's shape on them.

The staffs are friendly and warm. There are also some dogs inside.

If you like nature, flowers, especially so many types of roses, other unique plantations etc, you will like this place; a very relaxing place to stroll through.

It's really beautiful and the rose garden is amazing. Worth the 50 Baht entrance fee. Make sure to bring long pants or a saron. They require your knees to be covered.

A beautiful garden, although make sure you have long pants on! Although they can be easily borrowed for 20 Bhat from across the entrance.

The Palace was great but quick tip, make sure you're wearing something that covers your knees or you'll need to rent a pair of longer pants.
The grounds were incredible and the flowers amazing. It was an great walk around place up in the mountains

Worth going the top and checking out this palace. The grounds are well taken care of and the flowers/trees are worth the visit alone.

Be prepared to walk. Be prepared to negotiate your parking if it is busy. We went over the new year holiday - bad idea. There is o lot so much room.

Make sure that you cover your skin if you want to enter the palace premises. Otherwise, y out will have to rent some clothes to cover up.

50 baht entrance fee. Kids under a certain height are free.

This is a truly exquisite palace with beautiful botanical gardens all around. If you are heading to Doi Suthep, you should definitely come here on your way up. Be aware that nobody, men or women, can enter wearing shorts or exposed shoulders so dress appropriately our you'll have to buy clothes from the overpriced vendors outside. The palace closes daily at 3pm so plan that into your day as well.

Heavenly beautiful place reminding me how blessed being born under the Halo of King Rama IX, The Great and Thai Royal Family. The whole place is well maintained and organized. Ultimately relaxing vibes with lush tropical gardens and greater variety of flowers and plants - truly natural therapy.

Worth the cost of entry. Dress code is strict as this was the first “temple” type location I was unable to wear shorts at, and had to purchase pants (for actually super fair prices compared to in town prices) to be able to enter.

Tons of beautiful photo locations, hundreds of types of plants and flowers. We spent a few hours here and could have spent more. I would recommend blocking off 7 hours if you’re coming from Chiang Mai, we didn’t have enough time to really walk all of the grounds and had to rush everything.

Well worth visiting if in Chiang Rai. Roses and other flowers that grow in more temperate climes grow well there due to the height. Temples, shrines and waterfalls to see on the way there too. Wear modest clothing (no shorts) or you will be refused entry. There is a small market across the road from the gate where suitable clothing can be bought.

This was one of the items in our itinerary in Chiang Mai. It was rainy season that time so there was fog everywhere; a great place to walk and there are a lot of spots to see but we were only allowed to stay for 40 minutes. You have to dress appropriately; they're very strict about it. Or you can bring scarf which you can use to cover yourself up or you won't be allowed to enter otherwise.
