Dropped in for a coffee in the cafe and realised it was attached to the art gallery. Ended up having lunch there which was prepared beautifully, flavoursome and good size. Also well priced and the coffee was great. The art gallery was a bonus for us. Although still being completed, it houses some wonderful contemporary art and sculptures. Good way to beat the heat in the air con and see some local talent on display.

An excellent museum of modern art, but a little far from the city center. There is a lot of space, an interesting exposition! The ticket price is 200 TB per person. There is a good souvenir shop and a cafe on the territory of the museum. A great place to spent 1-2 hours surrounded by art)

When you are bored seeing all the historical and traditional stuff around Chiang mai, this is the place to go. It houses a great collection of contemporary art pieces from famous artists of thailand.

It’s a small museum but the artwork is high quality. Also there are seasonal events too. During chiang mai design week they had some special displays.

Museum is only two floors and will take around 1 -2 hours to see it completely.

There is a cafe and a souvenir shop too.

Its a bit far from the main city but worth a visit. Ticket was 200baht.

If you are using public transportation, you can take a white bus going towards Sankampang. Buses start from Kad luang. only 20baht. If not, can take a grab car from city which will cost around 250 baht.

I recommend visiting this museum if you like modern art and are around Chiang Mai! It's quite small (it took me one hour to see everything), but it's worth it!

It has a quiet atmosphere. I was there during the weekend in June, and it was almost empty, so you get it to enjoy and admire the art in peace.

The exhibition downstairs is a pond you can walk on using some steps. That exhibition is also very colorful and glittery. I'm sure kids would enjoy seeing that as well.

Amazing. Bright & welcoming and a true hidden gem! Small but diverse, beautifully curated & world class. Beautiful cafe & store as well. Worth the 15min inexpensive taxi ride. Ticket 150Baht (less for students/senior/kids) Highly recommend this place.

'MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum' (พิพิธภัณฑ์ศิลปะร่วมสมัยใหม่เอี่ยม) is located in San Kampang district, on the road towards Mae On (drive 18km or 25mins from Chiang Mai down town on highway No.1006) further away from ChamCha market around 6km

The art museum had been transformed from a warehouse, a wide space had been well-decorated with lightings and separated the space to showcase the selected artworks and held the exhibitions from the artists around the globe

The exhibition that had been presented at that time was ‘Cold War: the mysterious’ exhibition by Thasnai Sethaseree over the past year. Remarkable and inspiring story!

You can take an hour or more to appreciate the free spirit artistic works in the museum that I can assure you, it will definitely worth your visit!

(Entrance Fee Student/Senior 100THB, Adult 200THB, Open Fri - Mon 10.00 - 18.00)

It's a small museum but worth a visit. You’ll also find here a lovely shop with unique handwork items and jewelry and an extensive collection of art and historical books.

Private museum for art lovers. There are several exhibition halls occupying two floors. After exploring exhibits, you can buy a vintage camera at the museum's cafe.

A wonderful experience for myself and my art students from Lanna International school. We spoke to the owner about contacting the artists to interview them. They were really helpful and attentive to us. All my students found at least 2 artists they were really influenced by and will include artwork around those artists for their A Level Art & Design, personal investigation. I will bring more students to this gallery on the future.

I spent a really enjoyable couple of hours here. The exhibits are varied and interesting; most have descriptions in English as well which I really appreciated. Both Thai and foreign artists are represented. The museum shop offers a nice selection of related books and other gifts.

Incredible art space. Pictures, installations, movie place. We paid 100 bath, cause the first floor was closed, but the full price is 150 bath. Highly recommended ⭐

Tired of visiting temples and jam-packed night markets ? This is the place for you to see something different. They charge 150baht entrance fee which is rather expensive in chiangmai standard, but I really love this place and I think it’s worth the money.

Outstanding art museum. Gorgeous space that's obviously been expertly and lovingly curated. Modest price is well worth this world class museum. We saw the international collaboration ERRATA installation, just one day before its run ended. Knew we were very lucky not to have missed it. Permanent holdings upstairs. Excellent museum shop with cool art books & momentos. Lovely cafe. Come and forget you're not in Abuja or San Francisco!

Okay, i'm just ordinary engineer, so i don't have knowledge about art, but when i was visit here, it was really impressive to me.

When i was visit, there was exhibition about history of thailand - including dark side and bright side, there were some artworks about massacre in 1976, although i'm foreigner, i felt something a lot.

totally recommended museum if you're citizen of thailand or not!
