The Camp Muay Thai Resort and Academy

My stay at this Muay Thai Resort was incredible! The 1 on 1 training was spot-on, tailored perfectly to my needs. Janet and the team provided exceptional service, making me feel right at home. Highly recommend for a fantastic martial arts retreat!

Very grateful for my time at The Camp, one of the best experiences I’ve had! Spent a month training and could have easily stayed for longer. The coaches and staff make you feel at home (especially as a solo traveller), the gym and accommodation are kept very clean and the training is very high quality - I couldn’t recommend this experience more.

Will definitely come back, I miss the team already!

Visited the camp for a week and really enjoyed my time here, the trainer to student ratio means you’re pretty much getting a PT every session which is great for correcting techniques. The gym is very large and well equipped. Both girls on the front desk are extremely friendly and happy to help with any queries you have. The camp is a bit out of the way of the old town (I’d have preferred to be a bit closer but that’s just personal preference) taxis are very reasonable anyway, would probably be worth renting a scooter if you’re able to drive one. The area itself is very quiet with a lot of good restaurants in walking distance.

My experience at The Camp was great! The trainers were amazing as were the front desk staff. Everyone made us feel at home and they became family! The gym is top notch! You can train here no matter what level you are at when it comes to Muay Thai and gain so much knowledge. It was very convenient rolling out of bed and being able to train right away without having to drive to the location. I look forward to my next visit!

Amazing experience! All trainers are very helpful, professional, and fun! Classes felt really personalised. Reception staff is very kind and facilities are nice. My girlfriend and I really got into Muay Thai and plan to continue training and hopefully return to the Camp for a longer stay :)

Great experience and setup just outside central CM. Trainers top notch and champions themselves! Janet and Pan at reception are fantastic and always willing to help (even with my unique situation!) and answer questions for things about the area.

Since it's not in the more hectic central areas, it's also much quieter and has more quaint vibes, which is perfect for those needing a nice break!

Training at The Camp was an amazing experience! The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and supportive. They have a strong attention to detail and really helped improve our form and technique. This is a great place to learn no matter what level you are at- beginner or advanced- you’ll come out stronger.

By far the best Muay Thai gym I have ever been to. Had a great time and was able to improve my technique a lot. Also a very clean and new gym with good equipment. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Thanks again to the great coaches Boon, Wuty, Pong, Tok, Roberto and Martinez! If you ever plan on doing Muay Thai, this place is a must. Spent two months training here and all I can say is that it is one of the best experiences I have ever had. There is not many people but a lot of coaches so you get very hands on training specific to you. I would recommend this gym to anyone.

Amazing experience. This was my first real muay thai experience and my first time in Chiang Mai, travelling solo, and choosing The Camp was the best decision of my stay. The staff are professional and warm, the instructors are skillfull, patient and friendly. The accommodation is modern and comfortable. Lots of good places to eat nearby too. I hope to be back soon!

My first Muay Thai class ever, good workout :) The gym is really nice and clean, spacious and well-equipped. Coaches are very friendly and attentive to details, more like one on one training, so they gave really good advices on my postures. I love their teaching and will definitely come back again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at ‘The Camp’ in Chiang Mai for a week. As a solo traveler trying out Muay Thai for the first time, I couldn't have asked for a better introduction. The coaches are not only very knowledgeable but also have a gift for teaching. They were very funny and friendly and kept the training light-hearted and enjoyable. One of the coaches even generously drove us to the old town to watch a local fight – a genuine and unexpected treat!

The hotel staff and the owner also went above and beyond, ensuring my stay was perfect. Whether it was friendly conversations or local food and drink recommendations just a short walk away, they truly made my stay memorable.

The rooms, while basic, provided every essential comfort, and I really enjoyed my stay. If you're considering a Muay Thai getaway – whether you're a beginner or an advanced fighter – I wholeheartedly recommend The Camp. I eagerly look forward to my next visit!

The gym was clean. The staff were so kind and welcoming. The coaches were so knowledgeable and took their time sharing their skills. So many restaurants around the area to eat. Seven eleven is also 7 minute walk. Definitely coming back next year

Where to start!!! Been on some great vacations around the world but this tops all. Absolutely fantastic experience!!
Stayed in 'The Camp' for 3 weeks and was made feel at home...nearly like family!! The girls at the front desk were amazing. Very warm welcome which made getting started simple. The gym is a top notch facility. All the trainers are extremely knowledgeable. Each made small tweaks to the different techniques....all to improve learning. There are no egos!! Pushed to the limit which looking back is what you need to learn. If you want to learn & improve this is the spot.
Lastly its the most fun!! Thoroughly enjoyed learning but the enjoyment is what 'The Camp' was about for me. Easy to get up & go train. Lots of light hearted banter. Went to 3 fights where the trainers were in the ring. All won but most importantly it was some craic.
Special shoutout to the coach's Pong, Tok, Boon, Wuty, Roberto and Martinez. Great bunch of guys. Looking forward to returning. Until next time...In the words of Arnie 'Il be back'

I spent 7 days at The Camp. From the first contact with reservations, the front office girls (Pang and Janet) were great! When I arrived the accomodations were only steps away from the gym, which couldn't be more perfect. There are 4 classes daily and you can choose to come to as many as you'd like. I trained twice daily. The front office girls arranged a motorbike rental for my stay which gave me freedom to explore when I wasn't in class. The gym itself is immaculate and kept very clean as well as the rooms. The instructors are awesome and each with their own specialties. The first day there I worked with two professional boxers and they changed alot of my bad habits within a few hours. Of course there is plenty of legit, high caliper muay thai instruction as well!! Overall, I would highly recommend this facility and will likely be back next year. I'll miss this place.

I've never done Muay Thai before, but I thought I'd give it a try and came across „The Camp“.
I would never have imagined it to be that great, but that was mostly due to the instructors. A huge thank you to P'Pong, Boon, Roberto, Tok, Martinez and Wuty.
They took time for you and paid a lot of attention to your technique, correcting it everytime, which is really great, especially for a beginner like me.
Everyone (all the staff - from reception to housekeeping) was super super friendly.
The studio is also very well equipped.
I can only recommend it and will be back soon.

This is a very nice gym. I brought my son's here for one training session and the thoroughly enjoyed it. Wish we had more time in Chiangmai so that they could take more sessions. The trainers were knowledgeable and nice/funny. They teach beginners to very advanced fighters so don't feel intimidated. Highly recommend!

This Muay Thai camp is awesome. First of all, the teacher are very friendly. They have a lot of experience to help beginners. If u want to learn real muay Thai, u have to visit this place.

We had a great time taking a group class. The lady at reception was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed to be prepared for the class and the ice bath. Thank you!

Amazing training camp! I recommend staying at the accommodations they offer, which would allow you to maximize the amount of training sessions you do! I tried doing 2 out of 4 classes a day which is already exhausting. All the trainers give 100% everyday.
I would have liked to be a bit closer to the city center where all the markets and shops are, other than that no complaints. Will definitely come again
