Efficient flow with mostly clear instructions. I got the 7:30 Queue and finished around 9:00. Applied F-1 Student Visa and got approved. As long as you have all the paperwork and a well filled out DS-160 there is no problem. For F-1 visa you also need to prepare cash around 40$.

As long as you have your paperwork, passport, and appointment confirmation paper things are pretty efficient.

* However, there is no on site Parking. You will have to take a chance to find parking somewhere in the area.
*They will not let you come early.
*Only you are allowed to visit unless your spouse has a passport. So no dating partner or fiancés are allowed.
*They will not budge on getting early appointments, so schedule it in advance on the website. I would advise you get the paperwork is advance ready especially if translations are needed.
* The best way to reach them is email. I didn’t have success with phone or asking in person. The guards will not allow you in or to ask questions unless you have an appointment period.

I came from Chantaburi to get the interview at Chiangmai because my visa interview at Bangkok was cancelled due to covid-19 issue. However, I need to go to the States to complete my degree as fast as I can. I had a problem about the DS-160 because the location of interview was not updated. Then, the Chiangmai officer needed to pull my DS-160 informations from Bangkok. It took a long time (almost 3 hours). However, everybody at that place were helping me. They gave me the suggestions and facilitated me as much as they could. Actually, I should be missed to flight from Chiangmai to Bangkok and need to book a new ticket. Finally, I caught the flight. I did not need to buy anew ticket. I appreciate their supports (from everyone). I would like to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Dropped off application to renew adult and kids passports, received new passports in the mail at our Phuket address only 11 days later. Super fast!

Super convenient and great experience! Felt like a good business, not the government! They assisted me with an emergency passport, ready that afternoon (not 72 hours). Very friendly and helpful staff: photocopied passport for free.

Tip : actual 2x2 passport photos are needed, not close enough one's like some countries. The staff pointed me to a place near by and let me cut back in line.

Fast, efficient, friendly, and English. They're only open Tuesdays and thursdays, closing at 330. I've only been on thursdays, and it's usually not busy (one or two other people needing notarization.) $50 per stamp (1800 Baht.) It's a short walk from the Star Visa Service for translations too.

Security is pretty good and the State Department Personnel are very straightforward with honest answers.
Never any problem notarizing documents that I need as long as I have an appointment which is generally set up a week before.

Online appointments, efficient and courteous service, and don't have to travel to Bangkok like some other nationalities! Also, they do outreach service to Chiang Rai and sometimes elsewhere.

These guys are efficient, fast and easy to work with.

And the location is quite nice as well. I ended up coming back to this area a few times after visiting the consulate just to hang out along the river.

Had a unique travel challenge and the team really rallied to help me. Super grateful!
