Had my first ever lesson of muay thai over there .
Went in without calling , had private lesson arranged within an hour .
The coach was fun to work with .
Be ready to get sweaty and exhausted as you expect doing high intense training in 38 degree and 80%air humidity . They got fans around place so that helps a bit too and the icepacks lol

Visited this Muay Thai gym on 2 December 2023.

Was coached by instructor Mark. He is passionate about the sport and taught me the basic steps well. Too bad I am a poor learner and when he wants me to elbow, I would punch, and mix up all his commands. But he still strives to encourage learners to improve and give practical pointers.

It was my first Muay Thai class and perhaps my last as it is not a sport I enjoy. A good experience nonetheless. Try on the punching gloves and you can smell the hard work of those before you.

Perfect for serious Muay Thai learners.

This place is brilliant they wrap your hands provide gloves and shin gaurds 1.5 hour class start with shadow boxing then pad work then sparring all coaches are fun and all come round giving good advice on technique at least 8 coaches in one class you can just do a drop in class no booking needed definitely go to this gym

If it’s your first time you can book an individual class to have a more personalized class and perfection the technique. Highly recommend it! Would repeat if we are back in Chiang Mai!

I've been to quite a lot of gyms all across thailand and this gym ranks up there as one of the better gyms. Quality training that is well structured, and good trainers that are able to give good instruction and feedback on technique.

I wouldn't pay attention to the negative reviews. This is a quality gym with knowledgeable and enthusiastic trainers. I think if you come with the right attitude and understand that this is Muay Thai, it's hot, it's sweaty, you'll be worked hard then you'll have a great experience.

I had a great experience at the Muay Thai gym. I joined a class and because I was a beginner, they took the time in the beginning to explain all the moves, while the rest was already training. The trainers gave me good technical tips. If I would stay in Chiang Mai for longer, I would definitely come back!

They adapt class according to your level.
We really appreciated everything in this gym. Teachers are very friendly!

390 baths for a class of 1h30.
You can just go there before the class, without booking it (class every 1h30 from 1.30pm)

I participated at an one hour Thai boxing group lesson for beginners and experienced boxers for 390 THB which is a reasonable price.
After warming-up we started with basic boxing techniques and combos, exercised with the punching bag, tried out sparring boxing and streched in the end.
All in all an intense workout with friendly coaches which was a lot of fun! Definitely recommend it!

This gym is a top notch Thai gym.
Been involved with Thai for 20 yrs in England. The sessions are top quality and the kru's are very good in teaching mixed abilities. All round a quality qym so highly recommend. 🙏👊

I have a great experience here. The trainers are knowledgeable, passionate, and fully committed to delivering a top-tier learning experience.

Additionally, the visa process was seamless and well-coordinated. Applying online was easy, with clear guidance on submitting necessary documents. After a waiting period of 5 weeks, the school received the approval letter from the Ministry of Education.

I was in Hanoi at that time, so I received all the documents though DHL in 2 days.

Then, after 4-working-day process in Hanoi I got my education visa from the Thai Embassy and came back in CM.

A very clean, well equipped gym. We visited using a day pass in the morning around 10 on a weekday, it was very quiet which was fab. Open air environment with fans was great with the odd bird flying past. No treadmills but most other pieces of equipment available.

just dropped in for the 6pm class (last week), there was only like 4 other people there. got a full session with a trainer and it was awesome. did some sparring for the first time and they went easy on me and were very respectful.

Really a wonderful experience to train here. If I haven't got injured (my fault), I would gone more times. The ambient and the trainers made all the effort to teach you in English and Thai. (Gym:Thanks for the warming welcoming with the food! You were so kind)

They support the ED Visa for Thailand if you want to stay more and learn muay Thai for real.

I came in on Saturday at 3:30 pm and they had a drop in class price of 390 baht, which is very fair. I really liked the gym and trainers, as they were all extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I came in with about 1 year of experience and in just one class ways I learned a bunch of ways to enhance my technique. The head trainer taught some clinch work as well which was excellent. The training was very tiring but also very fun and playful. Great trainer to fighter ratio. I would highly recommend!

I booked for 5 classes which forces me to go. Each class is about 1.5h to TWO HOURS long. All levels welcome, no booking needed, just walk in following the class schedule. Typically very few students per class (all are non-local students), many instructors for plenty of one-on-one time. It's really intense for beginners!! I've never done muai thai before and I really enjoyed it here, but seriously killed my calves so I couldn't finish my 5-class at all.

The instructors are skilled, youthful, and really fun. They can't converse in English, they know the few words like "left knee" and "elbow" etc. They teach by demonstration or manually move your arm (because I kept doing it wrong lol) Most of the time you are on your own, kicking the punching bag or the air. SO TIRING! But intense!! I recommend buying PER CLASS as you don't save much with the bundle.

Chiang Mai Mauy Thai is a fantastic muay thai gym. The coaches are very experienced and friendly, the gear is plentiful and classes are well organized - whether there are 15 or 1 students at a time. Highly recommended for anyone just starting or looking to improve your Muay Thai game, as most of the coaches have a few hundred fights behind them and are still fighting!

I went for a 1 time experience. It was raw, exciting, and definetly a must-do thailand experience. The trainers are professional.

World class fight camps for authentic/real muay thai competition.

Owner is respectful towards visa students and gym members both short and long term. If you want to fight once, regularly or for champion - owner can make it happen, but you have to put in the work and be disciplined.

Great gym environment, very welcoming and international vibes. Great amount of space to train in, equipment is quality.

Trainers are highly experienced and knowledgeable about all techniques and strength and conditioning. Professionals at weight cutting protocols.
