Steak of the Day

We had a very nice dinner here. Menu is written on white boards ranging from western and Thai classics to more elaborate dishes. Every dish was well executed, and flavors were on the spot. Prices are in line with the quality served. We will come back.

It’s been a while since we visited Steak of the Day. We had lunch recently, and it was good as our previous visits. I still prefer the old open-air location, but it’s still worth a visit in its revamped form. There is a new ‘chef table’ room that can be booked for occasions. Steak of the Day is not the cheapest place in Mae Rim, but it is still one of the best if you want a quality meal.

We had Thai food here for our first lunch in Mae Rim. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Their menu is written on a whiteboard because the menu changes everyday depending on the chef, which I found to be a refreshing idea. The green curry was really good, make sure you request for it to be spicy because, why not? The chef, Mr. Ray came and greeted us, he was such a good sport when we asked him about the attractions in Mae Rim. He literally drew us a map to help us get around and he recommended A LOT of good places for us to visit. What a kind soul. We’ll surely visit again 🫶🏻

This place is a hidden gem for fine Italian food in Chiangmai. A bit far from the city center but really worth the drive. Highly recommend. The menu varies each day depending on ingredients the chef has.

Great restaurant. Food is fantastic. Asked them if they could cook roast chicken for Christmas Day. They cooked it perfectly with all the vegetables to compliment the chicken. Their Panna Cotta is the best I have ever tasted. Amazing restaurant.

Great place to dine in for quality western and Thai cuisines with plenty of fine wines selection even though the place located in a great distance off Chiang Mai down town area. Absolutely one of the best restaurant in Chiang Mai. Great recommendation for dinner with family or love one.

I really love this restaurant. The owners are very kind. The food and desserts are always unique, fresh and delicious. My favorite dish so far is the crab Angel hair pasta with garlic and chillies. Highly recommend if you are in the Mae Rim area.

Excellent restaurant with exceptional taste and the experience was beyond expectation. The service from the owner herself was genuinely caring. There are both western and Thai food, main dishes are creatively cured, both for the taste buds and for the eye. Highly recommended. Parking along the restaurant front.

We tried several lunch menus and were impressed by the taste and decoration. The prices are, of course, more expensive than other food vendors in the streets of Mae Rim. But I think it's worth the price, as the chef does not just cook you food, but provides you with artisan culinary experience, which you wont find it around here in Mae Rim.

Both local Thai food and a Steak restaurant in the same location. Two separate menus.
The Thai food was well done but with a little less heat than what locals prefer. Still excellent ingredients, well cooked, superb flavours. Their lamb shank in Massaman curry was amazing.
BYO is fine.
It's so good we will go again tomorrow to try the Steak menu!

Wonderful dinner and amazing owner and staff. The carbonara (bacon pasta) was one of the best I have ever had. The decor and atmosphere were perfect. A great place to end your day if you are staying in Mae Rim.

A surprise gem found in Mae Rim. Food quality is definitely on par with 5 stars hotel. Of course prices are alittle higher than normal restaurants.

Visiting from Australia, we had dinner at Steak of the Day for my partner’s birthday. We ordered the Beef shank Green Curry, Mango Squid Salad, and Seafood squid ink spaghetti. All dishes were superb and the setting of the restaurant was lovely. The owner was nice enough to even give us a free dessert for the special occasion. we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and highly recommend it!

The place that must to go every time if I go to Chiangmai 🥺

Leaving reviews on both the English titled and Thai titled pages... this was the venue for our first meal (lunch) after landing in Chiangmai from Singapore. We originally planned to visit for dinner (as recommended by a friend as a must-dine restaurant in Mae Rim), but dropped by coz we were already tired from our early morning flight. We ordered a mix of western and Thai dishes, and almost none disappointed. The wife ranked this first meal higher than most of our subsequent meals in Chiangmai hence a full mark to the restaurant is well-deserved.
