Mon Pha Dham Viewpoint

I don't know the history of this place, but it seems to have been a one-popular picnic and lookout area that has been mostly reclaimed by nature and not maintained. However, the paths are still being cleared of vegetation so you can walk around. Really nice views at the bottom, and some of the seating has been maintained. Very peaceful, almost nobody here even while Doi Suthep is very busy.

There aren't many people around here, which makes for a peaceful and calm atmosphere.

It's very fantastic place at Chiang Mai . I can't believe it because today when we are visiting in here . The weather is quite cold and strong windy. The local people in there is very warm welcome to cheer up for us. Next time we will meet again. Have a paradise on the Chiang Mai.

I had a pleasant ride up the mountain. Followed by a good coffee and a short walk down to the lookout. The view was a bit hazy but the air was cooler. Social distancing was easy, there was no traffic, 2 people in the coffee shop and nobody at the lookout. Now is the time to visit.

Mon Pha Dam is located in Doi Suthep-Pui National Park. It is a mountain that is a large cliff. It is 1,250 meters above sea level or about half the height of Doi Inthanon. It is another beautiful sculpture of nature. There are many kinds of plants here, especially pine trees. leaves that grow very high The weather is cold because it is an evergreen forest. It is another viewpoint of Unseen Thailand. early morning light On the new day, there is a floating sea of ​​mist interspersed with the mountains below. Will see the beauty of Wat Phra That Doi Kham, Royal Park, Ratchaphruek, even Phra That Ban Pong Temple, Hang Dong District, or visit Mountain view of Samoeng District is clearly visible.

Viewpoint, reststop! Whats not to love. Area is a bit small though but do try the coconut icecream! It's good!

Amazing view of Chiang Mai. View is stunning both daytime and night time. The price for the Monk Lookout is 50 baht per person and is open 6:30am - 6:30pm. The complex is filled with beautiful gold statues.

Another viewpoint. Be careful of the steep cliffs. Don’t go too near the aging safety divider.

A quite and free place to go. Just go down the hill from the parking area. Great views!

There is a lot of stairs to climb, its not that rough but its not easy. There is another option to take the funicular.

On the top there a beautiful view all over Chiang May.

This is located in front of the palace. It's quite a nice chilling spot, with views of Chiang Mai. Gets a little crowded and rowdy with all the tour buses, but it is still manageable during the weekdays.

Nice coffeeshops around the corner and it has a long pants or skirt rental for you.

20baht for the rental and 100baht deposit. They will issue you a slip, remember to keep it well to get back your 100baht

When the weather is better we came back normally fantastic view over the city but today the weather was not so good

Amazing view point, this park is located in front of the old loved king of Thailand, it have a great view down the mountain, recommended for a chill out place to have a break and enjoy the great view.

In order to climb to the viewpoint, it demands middle to strenuous physical legwork to climb. It's worth the effort to be able to see the city of Danang and the coast line.

Love it up here in the mountains!
