Secret Garden Chiang Mai

I had such an amazing stay here. Peter, Pai, and Isabel went over and above in every aspect of my stay. My dinner here was my favorite dinner during my whole Thailand trip! I loved the quiet space they have created, you can feel the good energy the moment you walk through the front blue iron gate. They have pedal bikes you can use, it was so fun toodling through the local village, Bo Sang. They even did my laundry, which was much needed. I couldn't be happier with my stay.

Incredible hotel! The owners went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. Tasty dinners, fresh breakfasts & my husband and I were able to enjoy cocktails together while watching our kids swim in the pool. Staying at the Secret Garden was the highlight of our visit to Chiangmai. Highly recommended!

It truly is a special place. We are a family of 5 with 3 children (6-4-2 yo) and we all had a blast. The food is great and the team would do anything to make your stay enjoyable. It’s cheap and easy to get to the city via Grab. It’s also possible to spend some time around Secret Garden as they provide free bicycles to visit the neighbourhood, which happened to be a lovely activity. Thank you all for such an amazing stay!

The dinners were AMAZING and with a great selection. Breakfast was great. The bungalow was big clean and comfy.
I can highly recommend this place. Must add that the owner and staff went out of their way to make our stay a fantastic memory!

Very charming, homey, and personal experience. The gardens that run throughout this property are very beautiful and lush. The owners (who are a family) are so kind and attentive. Very relaxing and peaceful place. The amenities are also amazing. The TV has access to Netflix. The pool is well kept. And the pond has a variety of creatures that are fun to watch. Highly recommend.

Wow! If I can give this place 10 stars I would. Truly a majestic place. Izzie and the whole entire staff were truly outstanding, they made us feel so welcomed.

The food they prepare here was one of our favorite meals in all Thailand.

Remarkable, would stay here everytime

So so happy to be back at the birth place of my journey into Thailand.. 12 years ago was my first trip , followed by several more , bringing with me my family and friends to share in the exceptional and exquisite place . Peter and his wife and now his daughter Isabel have called this secret garden there home since 1984 and welcoming guest onto there land and giving all that come a truly an unforgettable experience .. is the place modern no, but it is clean and well looked after and loved ! It had everything you could possibly want from individual chalets with Kitchens TVs all the way through to having a communal swimming pool and snooker table if that’s your fancy .. o ya , it has books … so many .. this place is ideal for families as its safe and protected , ( not necessary for the mosquitoes haha) the food that is prepared is perfect for the Family, home-cooked meals, specially catering to all delicate pallets . Come and share this place .. a real gem ! not sure all you influencers it would be your thing , as no shinny things to photograph ,. But for those of you who is looking for an authentic spot, this is the place. .

We had a wonderful experience here in this charming and family run resort. The hosts and their daughter treated us like family. The house compound is an eclectic mix of bungalows and homes in a tropical paradise setting. Pai's meals are just divine so there's no need to venture out to grab a bite. We stayed for 2 nights as a break between Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai so that worked out perfectly for us. Peter is full of stories and his hand made decorations are scattered throughout the property.

This family-run hotel is in a wonderfully relaxing location, enhanced by an extremely dedicated and welcoming staff. The home cooking is excellent, and I can totally recommend Secret Garden without any hesitation.

The rooms were big, comfortable and clean. I liked the food that they offered and how they looked after the plants. The only issue was the mosquitos, other than that it was wonderful.

Great place to stay if you don't want to be in the city center. Everybody is really friendly, the food is great, the rooms are big, clean and fully equipped.

The best resort we've been in! The family that owns the place is so nice, they take care of everything you need and more. The resort name is definitely fitting, it is so beautiful and relaxing.
The food is delicious and learning to cook with Pai was so fun.
Each room is it's own house and the privacy and the ambiance is amazing.

Everything was basically perfect, great rooms, good entertainment with pool and foosball, comfortable beds, just too many mosquitos.

We have been here for the second time and, nothing has changed, it's still the best place to stay for me and my family anyway.
The service is friendly and they go out there way to make your stay a good one. Its safe if you bring your young family. Its quiet and the accomadation is a good standard.

We had a wonderful stay here. The villas are beautiful and peaceful and the staff really helpful. The Secret Garden is situated in a village outside Chiang Mai but this gives you peace and quiet and the staff will give you lifts on demand to the bus stop. They are also veyr helpful at helping you arrange tours and all the local companies (cooking schools, treks etc) do pick-up. The food served is really tasteful and the dining area under a tree unique and the other guests tend to be very interesting if you are feeling sociable

We had a most memorable stay. Anyone going to Thailand should go here. All the comments are so true. They arranged several trips from there for us at very reasonable rates. We especially loved the day trip to an elephant sanctuary where we fed, bathed, observed and enjoyed the intelligent, good massive and loveable
creatures. I believe the sanctuary was created by an American...Be sure

it started with a real, warm smily welcome from Isabel & Peter, then we discover our lovely bungalow hidden in the garden, quite, super clean, lovely. Food was delicious, super fresh, cooked in front of us. Each of our demands was taken into real consideration (excursions well organized with private guide, transfert to town, etc). We did not feel like tourists but as friends, which makes the whole difference in a trip. I recommand this place 100% to the ones looking for charm & quiteness. Our second visit was as wonderful as our first. Charming bungalows in a lovely garden full of flowers and bird song. Hosts Peter, Pai and Isabel bend over backwards to make you feel welcome. Meals are fabulous—no need to go anywhere else. Tours, massage etc are arranged at your request. 15km from the city centre, the Secret Garden provides peace and quiet at the end of a busy day—you may not want to leave!

What can I say about this charming and lovely hotel? You're greeted and picked up by Isabel feeling absolutely welcomed. She's by far the best host we've ever had. She gives suggestions according to your taste and always has the best tips about Chiang Mai. She has a heart of gold. She's very attentive even when feeling under the weather.
The SG is like stepping into eden's garden, it's green everywhere and you can admire all the little details around the place. Our bungalow was so romantic. Unlike other beds in Thailand, we had a soft one! Slept like babies with the peace and serenity around. Food was delish.Dining area was very cute with a small library. No need to be afraid of their thai dog, Lili, who is an absolute cutie.

Yes, the location is outside of CM but they had motorbikes for us to rent. Its about a 30 minute ride.

The place is so nice my fiance and I felt so good its very relaxing. They have unique way of entertaining guest the family runs the business we appreciate how they treat us , like a family they prepare and teach us how to cook authentic thai food. The birds are singing always theres so many beautiful flowers and plants around . They are very friendly and accommodating.
