Small Cafe

If you love a delicious full-bodied coffee in a natural jungle setting then this will hit the spot. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to the many birds, cicada and the wind in the trees while having our cup. No man-made noises whatsoever... and only 30 minutes from the city. To make this cafe perfect: the very friendly waitress knows English!

It's a really nice place. If you are passing this you have to stop here because there is nothing else for the next few miles. Prices are normal.

What a lovely place! Coffee was some of the best I’ve ever had and they made us a vegetarian omelette and rice on request. The view is beautiful!

Great coffee at the Hmong village area of Doi Pui. Nice coffee and snacks. Nice server girl was fine. Will definitely come back again, the area is beautiful and much cooler than down in Chiang Mai city. Can ride motorcycle down to Mae Rim if you have adv bike, or 4x4 car. Otherwise go back on the road to Doi Suthep and down as the road is a dirt trail. Fun on motorcycle though..

I did not eat here because it was late and I still wanted to drive to chiang mai with the moped but it looks good and is probably delicious too. I just want to tell you that you don’t drive further on from here to chiang mai. Better turn around and drive over the viewpoint.
We continued driving and had 1 hour driving on a rough surface with lots of stones. You need a massage afterwards ^^

Simple, chill, and cheap place with lovely people. I enjoyed supporting them, as they are working hard and can't see that much business. I enjoyed the coffee and view. No sign saying "small cafe": it's just literally a small cafe!

One of the earlier cafe open around this area. Just on the left side gate of Khun Chang Kian highland research station facility of agriculture.
Still no name yet. Someone had already call it Small Cafe. Is a small little wooden hut type cafe. Not much to offer but they surly have goog freash coffee. In the late 70s to 80s use to pop up here with 4WD from dirt road for a cup of hot coffee and cooky. If you are approching from Phuping palace. You will came to a Y like junction. Left to Doi Pui Mhong village. Keep right on the small dirt road. After a few km will arrival on the research station gate. It just on the left some 20-30 meter or so.
Last visit was 2007. Like to find some time to visit them again.

A small cafe with very nice surroundings, especially during January when it's Cherry Blossom.

You should try the freshly grown and grinded coffee with the style you want. Hikers and bikers little hideout.
