Fabulous, 1,000's of books, phenomenal selection and a reader's paradise.

One of the best second hand bookshops I've been to, this bookshop exceeded expectations and presents the genuine opportunity to find gems and the unexpected.

The book shop is quite large, with three spaces, it's open to the street at ground level, with an upstairs and is a cool shaded place to browse.

The staff are super, this is a very carefully curated stock, it's very well organised and if you are after a given author, especially popular or classic ones, they probably have it.

Of note is the excellent SF section, they also have a dedicated Horror section, a real characteristic of this store, where within categories, there are more, so a Che Guevara or in the history section a signed Holocaust studies shelf.

Likewise I was very impressed to see a really nice Irish section and fine representation of Irish authors in a clearly signed shelf, with a decent amount of Flann!

The Graphic Nobel's are of the non super hero kind, but with two shelves, a really interesting representation and there were also Bandes Desinee for the French and a decent French and German language section.

George, originally from Wexford was delightful, such a pleasant and engaging character, a real book man, with knowledge and appreciation of them. It was great to find shop, and it's up there now for me with the likes of Recycle Bookstore in San Jose, Temple Bar Books in Dublin, Kings in Detroit and Barter Books in Alnwick.

I visited repeatedly during a stay in Chiang Mei and found some books to purchase each time.

I accidentally found this on the way to Wat Chedi Luang. So many used books with very fair price. The staff is so friendly. There’s a cat. It was a very pleasant experience. I bought a book and finished it on the train ride home.

Very nice bookstore with books in English and other languages. You can find very interesting books at good prices. I found a vintage postcard. It was fun to explore the bookstore.

Very nice bookshop. SO many books it can’t be a little daunting finding what you might be looking for which is actually a gift not a curse. Also a lovely cat roams around and enjoys a chin scratch

One of the best bookstores we have ever been too, the selection of books here are very diverse and there are literally lost books that you probably might not be able to find online. If you’re in the area and love books, definitely give this place a visit!

What a delight! There's such a wide selection of books, and the salesperson was exceptionally friendly and helpful. It felt like stepping into a literary haven. The atmosphere was cozy, and browsing through the books was a joy. I'll definitely be coming back for more.

One of the best used bookstores I've ever been to! Prices are reasonable for the condition of the books — ranging from 160 to 300 THB. I bought 6 books for 1420 THB (~53 SGD) in great condition and couldn't be happier about it. Large selection of English books (2 storeys) and there are French, German, Spanish and books in other languages as well.

Diverse selection of topics too, there were 3 whole shelves of philosophy books, an entire floor section on classics (I purchased 2x Dostoevsky) and a decent sci-fi books (there were all the books for the DUNE series, Asimov's foundation were somewhat complete and Adams' the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy was complete too). If you're around the area, it's definitely worth a visit, even if only for the vibes :)

I love this bookshop and go several times every year that I am in Chaing Mai. Such a great English selection that rivals many of the shops back in Canada. I often read a book every day or two so the buy back system works really well for me. I'll definitely be back next year!!

Unbloody believable in short it's that all over again. Multiple languages, multiple subjects. Upstairs, downstairs, front to back it's just books books and did? I say books.

Don't visit unless you plan on getting lost for hours examining all their beautifully arranged genres and coming out with armfuls of books. They carry pretty much every genre you can think of with the majority in English but some foreign language sections too (I definitely saw German and French I'm sure they have more). The owners are very knowledgeable about what they carry and can offer good recommendations or point you in the right direction. We came out with a whole bunch that will absolutely not fit in my backpack. 10/10 worth it

Oh my god, what can I say about this place, this is one of the most visit place in chiang Mai , if you're a book lover or a reader. And one more important thing, photos 📸 is strictly restricted, hope you understand it. Because , you are supposed to enjoy and find the book that you would like to read or just want to have it. And I can say that , the books you can find here , some are exclusive and you may not find anywhere else too. Should go to place.

A real gem in the heart of Chiang Mai for all bookworms. They have an extensive selection of English fiction covering two floors. They also let you trade in previous purchases towards new books which is very helpful when there is no library....

Donated my finished book and bought two other books. Various types of books from classic literature to modern fiction/ non fiction. Many foreign languages (besides English) available. Very reasonable prices.

But most of all....so great that such a store exists. So pay them a visit (and donate or buy a book).

The list book shop is one of those places that takes you back in time. A time where society was a little slower and you found time to browse, select and embrace time. It is a great place with a nice selection. I get all of my Stephen King and Dean Koontz books from here.

An amazing selection of books in English and a cute cat wandering around. It’s a bit sad there are quite a few signs saying “Thieves will be prosecuted”. If you want to steal a book, do it on the internet :-(

I’m can’t recommend this place enough. Amazing collection of quality titles that make most other bookstores look second rate. Probably the best book store in the world. I am not exaggerating.

Fabulous. The best foreign language used bookstore in Thailand. It’s the kind of used bookstore where you’ll find a treasure you didn’t know existed. Massive selection, varied and specific categories, sweet booksellers.
