Special and tribal.... You might surprise that they are not ordinary people that put beauty as a highest requirement in this village. Look painful but it's not what we think. Leave on traditional hut and selling their weaving skills for leaving. They are not normal people for me. As they are very strong women who do the best for their family and community. Interesting tourist attractions that you will enjoy. I wish to see their traditional folk show or some performances but it's limited here as they are in a anak tribal community. Do not their products as that the only way that we can sort them every you are here.... That the best you can do. Some of them speal multiple languages and super skillful.

Touristy but worth a visit. The inhabitants are used to visitors and friendly, ready to pose for photos and eager to sell their beautiful scarfs, skirts, bags etc. You can walk around the village freely. - Mixed feelings about this place, about the long neck tradition and asking myself if - with all the money coming in from tourists - people and the village shouldn’t be better off. Entry to the village is at the enormous price of Thai baht 1,000!

Experience is unique. Souvenirs are quite widespread but would recommend just buy one and select something that is unique and not something you can find elsewhere.

PS: personally I am fine and respect with the tradition, but i hope they stay strong and hope they don't feel offended.

Cultural/ethnic village. Nice and friendly people (please ask permission to capture their pictures and moments there). Language barrier. They produce good handmade products. Affordable to spend for souvenir.

Entering ticket is 500THB for one person.
I bought a really beautiful table center with embroidery. It was all hand made and it was 1,200THB. I think it was worth it.
There were many hand craft like hand woven scarf and so and they are only 150-200THB. Just walking around taking photo is fun!

It was very interesting for me to heard, learned and saw 👀 somethung like this. We were there with our guide so we learned more about this tradition and women with long neck, have they live here, about history, to heard their language too. You can see small village with old school and you can buy souvenirs and hand made cigarette 🚬 from women. I hope we help them on that way.
We didn't pay anything extra, tickets were included in our day trip (1400bth - long neck+elephant +Orhid farm+lunch).

I enjoyed seeing this small village with traditional weaving and farm animals. But I didn't have to pay an entrance fee or see any Karen women

This is the place where the women have long necks and they wear metal rings from childhood to elongate their necks..interesting tradition and they weave local clothes and make handcrafted objects

Very unique long neck village. Highly recommended to come to visit & experience their life style, at the same time help supplement the income of these locals.

there is not really long neck village ... there is only for tourists. If you want to see real long nech people then you have to drive about 6 hours from Chaing May. visit value place.

Yes, it is interesting so meet interesting people. Paying 500Baht to see the village, definetly commercial thing. Please advise if these friendly and nice people can be met at places without commercion.

Very nice place where real Thai culture can be admired. however, the entrance fee of 500 baht for adults (whether Thai or falang) and 250 baht for children was very shocking!!!

Very interesting, although I felt guilty about their living conditions. Hopefully the 500 baht entry fee for foreigners will assist in their housing.
