My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our sunrise tour of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep and visits to Wat Phra Lat and Wat U Mong. Our guideʻs name was Tu. His knowledge and life experiences made our visit very memorable and rewarding. We learned much about Thailand, Chiang Mai and especially Buddhism. We consider ourselves blessed to have met Tu, a good and cheerful man.

Tom was awesome! He really helped make our trip feel special. He was very helpful, from helping us get bus tickets to driving us around town and showing us good meals. Seriously every meal we had with Tom was one of our favorites from the whole trip. He was a Buddhist monk for 26 years and I really appreciated the knowledge and history he was able to share with us regarding the history of Thailand, Buddhism, and the rituals at the temples. I would definitely recommend the sunrise temple tour, the Karen elephant sanctuary, and Chiang Rai trip. Tom drove us to all. I liked how he was very patient. He would make frequent stops for us to use the bathroom, grab coffee, shop etc. He even volunteered to pick us up after we took the bus ride from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai and he took the time to show us the flower festival and drop us off at the airport. He did that without asking for anything, although we were more than happy to pay him for his time and convenience.

I booked a custom tour with this company rather last minute. Our flight to Phuket was leaving at 1pm and originally I had planned to just sleep in, get some breakfast and relax at our hotel before taking a cab to the airport. Instead I opted to fill our morning with a few more things since we were enjoying Chiang Mai so much and felt like there was more to see and do. I emailed this company with our schedule and said we wanted to fill our morning prior to the flight and they got right back to me with options and availability. I got to pick what we wanted to see and also was able to take suggestions from them. Here's what we ended up doing in ONE MORNING:
We checked out of our hotel and were picked up at 5:30am. We went to the top of Doi Suthep to watch the sun rise and hear the monks doing their morning chanting. It was incredible! We got to give morning alms and be blessed by the monks and to walk around and learn about the temple in absolutely peace and privacy! We got to see another lesser known temple that was beautiful as well. We had an incredible Thai breakfast at a local restaurant (which was already prepared and included for us). We visited the long neck hill tribe where we got to talk with the locals and I twisted balloon animals for the kids. We went to the Elephant Poo Poo Paper park where we learned and got to help make recycled paper from elephant dung. We visited the beautiful Silver temple and got to see the school where they learn to work with the silver and meet the instructor. All this and our guide dropped us off at the airport with plenty of time to make our flight! I'm SO glad we did this!

Speaking of our guide, his name was Tom and he was FABULOUS!! He was a monk for many years and was able to give us so much insight into the places we visited and the lives of monks etc. He spoke wonderful English and was a great translator to help us talk to and meet people. He knew and was friends with a lot of the people we visited. He knows and loves Chiang Mai so much and it shows. Our interests, comfort and safety always came first. He also served as a great photographer for us! He even gave us an impromptu meditation lesson at the silver temple upon request! We had an incredible morning and I'm SO glad we booked this with Untouched Thailand! I can't say enough good about the company and about our guide. What a wonderful way to close out our time in Chiang Mai! I highly recommend booking with this company. I have taken a lot of tours around the world and this was one of the best.

We did the sunrise tour with Tu. Tu was a monk for over 10 years and was very knowledgeable and kind. We had an amazing time - early wake up was well worth it!

Our half day temples tour with our guide Tom was the highlight of our time in Chiang Mai. Tom shared a wealth of knowledge with us and was very intuitive to our small group’s preferences and priorities. This experience was one I will treasure forever!

This was the most amazing and perfect tour to do. If you are going to Chiang Mai or even considering going there, this is by far the best tour we’ve ever done. We loved it so much that we actually did two different tours with them. The first was all day tour getting up early and going to the temple and hearing the monks. We then went to hidden temples, delicious food that they got for us and many other adventures throughout the day. Some of the adventures including going to the countryside and going to a hidden cave with a monks created something transcend. We finished our tour by going to the sticky waterfall that was so much fun and beautiful. We even stopped at a very local market, no tourist in sight made it even more interesting. As I said, best tour ever!

Wow! Outstanding, what a great place.....have been in Chaing Mai city and needed a break. Went to guest house in country and was really impressed. Beautiful grounds...spent day at caves and with hilltribe people. Tour guide was great. Lots of information about each location and interesting stories, and funny. So many excursion choices kayak, cycling, and trekking. Also wish we had more time to visit elephant camp where guide keeps a baby elephant he rescued from abuse. He says that he hopes to rescue mother also to reunite with baby. We love this guy. Recommend this for anyone looking to see Thailand with the locals....great experience.

I have been on 2 tours with Sipohn and both were amazing. On our second one we went to a large cave which was also a temple. And to a hot springs on a Sunday. It was crowded with locals (no tourists) and so relaxing sitting under the trees with our feet in the warm stream. Beautiful garden and we cooked quail eggs in the hot springs and ate them. Then had a foot massage. We would never have found these places on our own.

We called Untouched thailand tour company a day before and able to do our elephant, tiger, temple tour. Very quick to respond with any questions. Our guide Tu picked us up early in the morning and he was a great guide through out the whole day. He's very knowledgable about the temple. Price was very reasonable as well. Would recommend this company to anyone who wants peace of mind and relaxing tour for your trip.

Tom è stato incredibile. Mi ha fatto vivere un’esperienza meravigliosa che porterò sempre nel mio cuore. Vedere l’alba, poter parlare con un monaco. Non ho nulla da dire se non che vale veramente la pena.

The price is a bit high - this is why it is a four and not a five. It was a very professionally run tour. Non was an excellent your guide, knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was tailored to our needs and it was perfect for us.
