A small out of the way restaurant that is well worth the visit. Only experienced Sorns' yellow curry which suits my palate exceedingly well. The curry tends to be more Indian than Thai in as much as it is spicier than one finds in Thai yellow curry.
Everything is cooked to order, so it takes a longer to hit the table. Sorn used to have a restaurant in Doi Saket until they built a little C market on the site.

Very nice and relaxed place. Be prepared to wait for your meal, it's worth it. This is certainly one of the best places in Doi Saket to go for Dinner.

Whenever I am in Chiang Mai I dine at least a couple of times at Sorn's Restaurant and Cafe. It is absolutely worth the ride, because of the sympathetic couple that runs this cool and peacefull place, the atmosphere, the freshly prepared delicious dishes (Asian ánd Western) make me feel at home and at ease. I can order my favorite cocktail from the well-stocked bar, but most of all - while waiting for the "à la minute" preparation of the meal - I enjoy the interesting conversations with Sorn who with his vast wisdom and knowledge of f.i. food preparation is willing to answer all my questions. I can highly recommend Sorn's Restaurant which is no longer located along the highway, but in a quiet and attractive neigbourhood

A true hidden gem serving both Thai and western dishes. We have been a frequent customer to Sorn’s restaurant since the it was opened in Bangkok and then moved to Chiangmai. Highly recommend!

Small family run restaurant serving a large range of Thai dishes. Husband and wife team who pride themselves on individual customer service and satisfaction. A la carte service but can be pre ordered to speed the preparation time or arrange take home food. Very moderate prices.
