The Imperial Chiang Mai Resort & Sport Club

We did a longstay (56 nights) for the second time at the Imperial. We really love it here; lush surroundings, the staff is awesome; helpfull and super friendly. We find the resort "old charm". We have everything to have a good time. We love the quiet and lush environment. Some people complain about the remote location, but we love the quiet and lush environment and friendly, local people. We stayed at the Imperial without car or scooter, we often used Grab and it worked just fine and never had to wait a long time before finding a Grab driver (from and to Chiang Mai city vice versa). Some tips:
- the restaurant serves very tasty dishes at very reasonable prices;
- some food stalls and small eateries in the local neighborhood;
- just walk through the tree nursery that surrounds the resort to the main road. Go right and cross the bridge. There you will find a local market (fruit etc etc) and some eateries (and hardly any tourists). Typically local neighborhood and low priced food. Also Lotus go Fresh
- Coin washing machine 500 m from the hotel (20 Baht) next to a small convenient store. Just walk straight ahead.
- 7/11 store approx 1 km from hotel (see google maps)
- The fusion plaza / Ban Tu area. Approx. 50 min walk to 7/11, Lotus go fresh and mini B C and 2 food courts (only local people, no tourists). We often walk to those food courts, starting at 17.00 pm, arriving 50 mins later before sunset and Grab taxi back to the Imperial. Grab is just working perfect!
- Lake nearby (approx 1hours and 15 min walk) and nice sculpture park (look google maps).
In other words, go and explore (walking)! SPF 50, wear hat and sun glasses and go for it!

To be honest, if you are looking for a tranquil and relaxing place to stay in Chiang Mai, Imperial Resorts cnx is for you!
It’s a bit old-fashioned but worth visiting. Ten out of ten. So much green around here! They are also awarded as a green resort by Asean hospitality.
I am coming here for swimming 🏊‍♀, been here before to stay, the price is not that expensive for both swimming or staying here. 9-10 miles from city center 🌃.

- the parking lot is quite big
- they host some event
- they provide ball room for meeting
- they host school activities

Good water quality, food and drinks near pool at a fair price. But, please, check the ladders to water, they are loosely attached to the concrete and can fall apart any time.

Perfect place to stay, quiet, clean, comfy rooms, very nice and helpful staff. The swimming pool is awesome, and the breakfast options are really good too. The free shuttle at nights is a bonus, really good service.
The staff can help you to rent scooter which is great too.

We had consistently good stays at this brand. Old style hotel but well kept and very clean. Staffs are very professional and friendly. The place is quiet, spacious and is surrounded by nature. Large swimming pool and other facilities we didn’t managed to use. Will come back again.

From my experiences of more than 100-time coming to Chiang Mai, this is the perfect place to stay indeed. The resort is only 10-15 minute drive from the central old city or Chiang Mai University. It's very nice, clean, cozy, comfortable, friendly, and a paradise for nature lovers & /or health enthusiasts. All staffs are wonderful. Fantastic Experience!

One of the best and comfortable hotel that I stay in Chiangmai. You must have a car to stay there as it is away from shops and restaurants. Therefore it is a very quiet place to stay. It is sport hotel, so it has a huge swimming pool, gym, tennis, badminton and squash court. Room is date but funtional and clean. Sandwise from the restarant was delicious.

Pool was excellent. Locker rooms clean. Towels available. Dinner was excellent, but mid afternoon snack choice was limited to menu items. Bring your own snacks, unless you are ready for a full meal.

Neat, clean and quiet place approx. 20 min. north of center. The few planes heading north do not really desturb. The rooms are clean with beds big enough for us falangs. Large pool 50m and full size breakfast. The hotel picked us up from the airport (at reasonable charge) and offers a free shuttle service to town every evening, too The hotel manager brought us back to the airport personally as our taxi driver didn't appear. She even returned because my friend forgot his mobile on the back seat. We truely recommend this place. In 5 min. walk north you'll find Joe's Bike Team. A german fellow offering big bikes even for Laos.

The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly.

What a beautiful lovely resort, comfortable rooms, good hot showers and most friendly staff and excellent food. The pool was a bit too cold to swim in during January but very clean.

Great pool and the staff is always nice. Also night little area near the reception where you can sit and relax.
