Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach

This place was incredible! I’d only recommend getting the all inclusive package though, otherwise it would be super expensive. If you have the all inclusive package then you can enjoy the whole resort and all its restaurants as much as you want without worrying about money. The pools are absolutely huge and there are THREE of them!!! Was such a beautiful place to stay, sunset at the rum shack was just beautiful, the lovely rooms and beautiful food.. the pool bar was fun. The kids just LOVED it (ages 8 & 10)…just amazing. I’d go back again without skipping a beat 💖

Where do I begin... This resort is fantastic. Clean, perfectly located and has it's own private beach with world class corals ready to see with complimentary snorkeling gear. Can't fault this place. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is so helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Couldn't have picked a more perfect stay for 12 nights

We booked a 5 night stay at the hotel after looking into many other options.
We traveled a party of 5 people, 2 adults 3 kids.
And the stay was no less then amazing!
The rooms were clean and well maintained. Everything about the room was dated from bathroom to the living room.
Staff were extremely nice and helpful.
The pool is awesome, wide and spacious they even have floaters for kids.
The breakfast was outstanding with a wide range of options that will meet anyone's needs and personal preference.
The gym has regular towels as well as chilling towel.
The equipment is new without any signs of tear.
The only down side is that it is a bit far from the center were you can buy snacks and basic necessary thing for a long stay, but the hotel does offer a free shuttle service.

We had the most amazing stay at the Marriot in Merlin Beach. Rooms were incredible, we stayed in the poolside room. Everything was so clean and presented well. All the staff were very friendly and helpful - we loved our towel animals that were placed on our bed each day. Fantastic facilities, a stand out was the gym. Merlin beach itself is stunning, great activity set up. We feel so relaxed after coming here. Thank you so much for having us! We will definitely be back.

My first time at Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach for the company retreat was great! All the staff were very welcoming. Even though they had to provide excellent service to many guests, they still had smiles on their faces. Impressive! We had a dinner event on the beach lawn in the evening, but Mother Nature surprised us, and we had to move indoors. The staff quickly prepared the foyer room in a limited time, and we were very thankful for that. The only downside was that the AC was broken on the first day we had our meeting in the meeting room, which made it super hot, but they promptly got us fans. Overall, it was excellent. Bravo to all the staff at Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach!

PS. The ice cream there near the pool is highly recommended! Yummmmy!

This resort is an absolute must for anyone going to Phuket for a holiday.
It's a 7-minute ride from the hustle and bustle of Patong Beach.
It's tucked away on an absolutely private beachfront. They have a buffet 😋 breakfast, and every night, they have a different themed buffet dinner. Thai night was the best and probably the best Thai food I've ever had, AND there was a very happy lady walking around with a wheelbarrow full of FREE Coronas .
We had a pool access room, which is a must as it does change the whole experience. The happy hour at the pool bar was a bit hit. Buy one, get one free for 6 hours every day.

Had the most amazing time staying at this hotel... there are only 2 things to consider that were negative.

1. The location is remote and you cannot just walk off of the resort to go to a town or night market you must get a taxi.. and taxis are difficult to get from this hotel unless u want to pay extortionate fees from the taxi company opposite.

And 2. The beach is beautiful to look at but nearly impossible to swim in.. the sea is shallow for a very long way out and the rocks below are very sharp... I cut my ankle 3 times in about 20 mins in the sea... the pool is the main area to stay at in this hotel.

Everything else in the hotel is amazing.... Rooms are clean and tidy, beautiful looking too.
Food is amazing and the service in the restaurants are above and beyond.
Bottled water is provided as much as you want in your room which is great as there is no local shop without a taxi ride.
Swimming pool is AMAZING, best pool in a long time

We've just returned from a truly unforgettable stay at the Marriott Resort at Merlin Beach Phuket, and we can't sing its praises enough! This stunning resort exceeded our expectations in every way, thanks to its exceptional staff, luxurious amenities, and breathtaking surroundings.

Our room was immaculately maintained by the incredible Pockey, who went above and beyond to ensure our space was spotless and comfortable. Her attention to detail and warm smile made us feel right at home.

The Lobby Bar was our go-to spot for refreshing cocktails and delicious snacks, expertly managed by the phenomenal Erin. Her organisational skills were unbelievable, juggling multiple tasks with ease while always maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor. Nothing was too much trouble for Erin, who always greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel like valued guests.

The resort's facilities were top-notch, with sparkling pools, spa, and a fitness center. The grounds were beautifully manicured, with lush tropical gardens and stunning views of the Andaman Sea.

The resort's culinary offerings were exceptional, with a range of international and local dishes served at the on-site restaurants. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, with a vast selection of fresh fruits, pastries, and made-to-order dishes.

The staff throughout the resort were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure our stay was nothing short of exceptional. From the warm welcome to the fond farewell, every moment at the Marriott Resort at Merlin Beach Phuket was pure bliss.

Really exceptional experience at Marriott Merlin Beach. We enjoyed our stay from arrival to departure. Every single one of the employees was incredibly friendly and helpful and we felt truly welcome. For our family it was great to enjoy the different dining options including pool bar and swimming pool in general but also be close to a very natural experience in the sea where we could watch fish and other species directly in the shallow water. Please keep up the good work and we can highly recommend this place if you want to combine a very good resort experience with an amazing glimpse into sea life.

We have just spent 6 nights and loved every moment. We are a family of 4 with two adult daughters and booked two ocean view rooms. The rooms were spacious, well maintained and comfortable. It was great to have the free water each day and reusable drink bottles and a handy beach bag to use to take to the pool and beach each day. The staff were fabulous and the food options extensive and very nice and affordable. We loved the location and the fact it was away from Patong and Karon and did not feel the need to actually leave the resort at all. The beach is great and water very clear. Highly recommend this resort.

Our family of four really enjoyed staying at Marriott Merlin Beach at the end of March/early April.

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We will in particular remember Jenny and Aunpun from the kids’ club, Kate from the Beach grill who provided an excellent service during our Romantic dinner, Tangmo who greeted us every morning at the Merchant kitchen, Pond for the information on Thai culture, and the staff from the concierge who booked for us very beautiful trips adapted to our needs.

The beach is almost private and the sea was great for snorkeling on some days with lots of fishes an crystal-clear water. On other days, different winds and currents brought a lot of plastic and less visibility under water. The hotel provides a lot of information on the reef, but even more could be done to raise awareness of guests not to walk on the reef during low tides, in order to protect this unique ecosystem.

Amazing hotel for families. It is safe, clean, and the staff are super friendly. We stayed at a larger terrace room at ground floor right in front of the kids pool. My children enjoyed walking on the lawn, watching people at the patio, or dipping their toes into the pool to test the temperature. Food was affordable (compare to other hotels) and delicious, especially the oven baked pizza. The Thai restaurant offers a good selection of Asian kids meal, too. We purchased the M Passport package so kids eat for free. There are so many activities at hotel, it is hard to get bored. This is definitely one of the hotels I would come back to with my family. We all loved it here!

Great resort! My friend and I had been traveling around Thailand for a week and this was our last stop. It was refreshing to have a nice clean resort with large rooms/bathrooms. We stayed at some cheap places during our travel so this was a breath of fresh air. The staff was very courteous, attentive, and professional. The location of the hotel was great. It's located on it's own beach, but close enough to Patong that you can get out and explore. The hotel has a shuttle that goes into town throughout the day. Patong is super busy and touristy, so it's nice to get back to the resort and relax. The beach at the resort is great and they have free snorkel equipment, kayaks, and paddle boards to use. The pools are great too! There are a few food options to choose from, just make a reservation ahead of time as they fill up pretty quickly the day of. I'd recommend this resort to anyone that wants to be close to the action, but have a quieter place that they can get away to. Also, the spa services were top notch! I'd for sure stay at this property again.

We have thoroughly enjoyed staying at this resort and completely spoilt by the hospitality of their team. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They speak good English so it's lot easier to communicate your needs. Resort has the most facilities available to keep you excited and relaxed regardless of your age group. There are three beautiful pools, private coral beach access, complimentary snorkelling gears etc. They have a beach rum shack and pool bar where they do a happy hour everyday for two hours in the evening. Food is divine in each of the restaurants. Breakfast buffet will spoil your for choice with multiple cuisines served at the same time. Our favourite restaurant was Thai pantry. We not only loved the authentic thai food but were also blown away by Jib and her team's hospitality. Her whole team is exceptional including Boom, Bew and other names we couldn't remember. Jib runs an amazing operation and an absolute treasure for Marriot.

If you are looking for a holiday where you just want to unwind and relax then this is a must.

Absolutely loved this resort. The property is beautiful and kept so nicely. This resort is away from the hustle and bustle of Patong Beach but it is close enough by shuttle or taxi if you want to go to Bangla Rd. I do feel this resort is better for families. The entire staff is so nice and cant do enough to make you happy. The concierge Toey is absolutely the best!!!!! He goes over and above to make sure everyone is well taken care of. I highly recommend

We had a room with sea view, we come as a family with 2 kids and a baby. The hotel is amazin, clean, specius and clean. Staff very friendly, reception was quick to respond to every inquiry i had. Very good value for money, only place in phuket i will return too. Kids play room is excelent, pools are excelent, lots of options and every thing is clean and maintained. Room has amt espresso machine and fitness room is great as well. Food in lobby lounge was bad, room service is OK. Restaurant are OK. Breakfast very good

Really beautiful hotel, that looks very modern.
There's many beautiful, big and warm swimming pools, that are child-friendly, and are very secure and safe.
The food is very good.
The staff are very kind and helpful and are efficient.
Directly connected to a gorgeous beach with warm water as well. Just amazing.

Everything but five stars would be unfair. It’s a great location, great property, family friendly, great service with response time measurable in seconds on the chat app. Lots of kids and adult activities, different restaurant options and simply fabulous food. There is a buffet option every day with incredible price to quality ratio. We would come here again during the next Phuket vacation.

Only but: the beach while looking nice is extremely rocky and more suitable for snorkeling with high tide for adults then anything else. It’s not a beach for kids or swimming.

Marriott as always has left no stone unturned in the hospitality to enhance experience of its guest at the Merlin Beach resort. There lots of organized activities for kids, men and women like pool games for kids, games station, men water volleyball, zumba classes etc. There is also a good time of snorkling available for marine life lovers.

There is wide choice of food offerred by 7 restaurants and bars. While all the restaurants are good and have menu to all ethnicity, my favorite was The Rum Shack. Rum shack offers good variety of beverages including cocktails and cocktails. Staff is really courteous at The Rum Shack and entire resort.

I met bunch of folks who work at the Rum Shack who are really bright and very smart. They are just not Hospitality staff but have good knowledge of world politics, economics and sports. You strike any conversation and they have an opinion to talk about ... I met Bas who is such an experienced guy and loves his work. Very passionate about his work, Shack and the rest of the staff.... A wonderful 7 days experience and I would recommend to all those who want to stay in Phuket on a family vacation !!
