Sugar Marina Hotel -SURF- Kata Beach

Lovely hotel and really friendly staff.
The safe in the room was easy to use, the hotel provided a beach bag and beach mat in the room which we used every day. Also the large umbrellas for the rain showers every so often.

Views not amazing but the air con worked well and the bed was comfortable.

Great location for the Kata walking street/night market. And short walk to Kata beach.

Didn’t use the pool or gym so can’t comment.

Overall lovely hotel and friendly staff. Would stay here again for sure.

Located away from the intense crowds of Patpong in the beach resort town of Kata. Our rooms had direct access to the swimming pool from our patios. And breakfast was included for 1010bhat. Can't beat that.

One of the best staff I have ever found in a hotel, incredibly gracious pleasing and helpful. It's just a joy to talk to them.

The hotel has a good restaurant and is a very short walk to the beach. Though not on the beach front the hotel is conveniently located to the main Street for shopping. There is even some make shift weekend markets near by.

The hotel has a pool which is okay and spent not have a good view. The rooms are very nice though well provided for including a beach bag, loafers and straw hats.

My favourite resort in Thailand so far. Good value for its price. Room is large with a nicely sized shower, bathtub and bathroom. The room comes with a mini fridge and complimentary drinks. The air conditioning is effective but the room did smell weird when I first arrived.

The resort itself is smaller than I expected but the pool and breakfast is great. Im currently staying at a more expensive resort in the same area but I prefer the aesthetic and layout of this one more than my current one.

If I were to end up in the same area of Thailand again I would make an effort to stay at this resort again

Are you sure this is a 3 star hotel? Feels like it's a 4-star hotel.

The service was amazing, and the front desk people were always welcoming and caring. The swimming pool was big enough to actually swim, not just walk around. The complimentary breakfast was the best aspect of all. The menu were not so thai (more geared towards Chinese taste), but still had variety of things to eat.

The room itself was also spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The one setback of this hotel is that the washroom in the room was not sealed, so any sound you make in the washroom can easily be heard from the rest of the room (#2..!!)

For a price this good ($50 Canadian per night at the time of booking), I would never even think of staying somewhere else other than here if I go back to Phuket.

Excellent new hotel with a great service. Nice location, very friendly staff, good breakfast (menu was changed everyday we stayed there) with nice interior of cafe. Staff takes care about small details like free minibar with snacks and beer, beach mat and towels. Central air conditioning which is not blowing directly on you. We understood how great was this hotel when we moved to another hotel which is twice expensive but twice worse.

Stayed here for a few days, really nice room with large shower facilities. Plenty of amenities and great location for both Kata and Karon beach. Also is 2 minutes from kata night market.

If 5 star service is what you are after, then this is the place to go. Warm, friendly and professional: the theee words that best describes the staff. I have nothing but compliments to say for this lovely little hotel, a hidden gem in Kata. Location is fantastic, with 24 hours convenience store (Family Mart) just 2 mins away. The beach is about 8 mins walk via a short cut, which is not too bad. Kata Night Market is right beside the hotel as well (try the fried fish, ridiculously amazing!). Overall, Kudos to all the service crew that made this stay a 5 star experience. Keep up the great work!

Wow! This place has stunning service, staff are able to deliver great hospitality. The hotel is very clean, quiet and relaxing. The pool area is beautiful and the breakfast is exceptional, they offer excellent choice of food.

Modern hotel close to Kata Beach (5 minute walk). Very clean and silent, staff polite and ready to meet customer's needs and requests. The design of the hotel is very cool.

Brilliant value for money! Highly recommend to anyone staying in Kata. Around £30 a night in May

The hotel is clean and comfy , near the kata beach, decent price, pretty good services .

Good hotel and service for the price. Short walking distance to places to eat. Plus, there’s a free minibar consisting of a can of Coke, a Snickers bar, a can of Singha beer and a bottle of water.

Definitely a nice design. Many good ideas. There's even a boxing room with plenty of equipment for sparing. Location is convenient. Nice staff
