Chiang Mai University

There was a book fair at the library when I went, and a closeby food fair (not sure if it is available everyday).
The campus is huge, u should rent a motorbike to travel around, as parking is easy at most faculties. As others have reviewed, there is a library, gallery, museum, lakes, cafes and so on. Suitable to spend half a day chilling and wandering around, would be nice especially on sunny days.

Beautiful campus with a nice lake and greenery. It's suitable to come during the evening and there are lots of pets' owners who will bring their pets here to play around.

CMU has a great campus with so much to offer. In addition to classes and guest lectures, there are cafeterias and cafes, an art museum, bookstore, lake, dinosaur statues, free jitneys, and so much more. It’s a fun place to hang out and explore.

Very convenient campus, buses run around the campus. Good infrastructure, the campus itself is like a park. Each faculty has its own building. There is a Department of Foreign Languages, there is also a Confucius Institute. Teaching may take place in English.

The reflection of the mountains on the water is so beautiful. A place where you can always leave good memories, whether it's a sunny day or a cloudy day. It is a place that reminds me of my most brilliant days.

The university look like a green park with many people walking along the beautiful lake , close to nature and in calm environment.

Make people so chill

Chiang Mai university is really a great and relaxing place to walk around!!!! I arrived at around 6 at night and there are so many residents and students are jogging and walking dogs. It is just that the toilet is a bit hard to find. But whatever the people there are super nice and are willing to help. Also, there is a super big night market right across the gate of Chiang Mai university where you can eat and go shopping there.

It is so nice library at Chiang Mai University. So I strongly recommend you to visit there. It pays 20Batt as foreigner. It is running from 8:30~16:30pm. ^^

Nice university and nice view

One of the renowned university in Thailand. I come here to take the TOEFL test and almost everyone around this university can speak in English.

Great place. Academics are pretty good here. One of the best that Thailand has to offer. Cute girls in mini skirt uniforms everywhere. Medical school here is one of the best in Thailand. Recommended to visit and learn about Thai education.

That's a very good point to birdwatching. Alot of species bird is in around university and near lake.
Also That's good for walking or running specialy in morning and evening.

Very large area, so that there are some shuttle buses that bring students or guests to uni facilities.
I rode my bicycle around and enjoyed very much.
There are a lot of faculties. Each has its own building.
My most favourite one is the building of the faculty of architecture. It has the contemporary style and especially the amazing atrium.
A beautiful lake locates at the end of the campus, next to the Chiang Mai zoo.

I think about 1 mile lap around the manmade lake.

Chiang Mai University (CMU) (Thai: มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่) is a public research university in northern Thailand founded in 1964. It has a strong emphasis on engineering, science, agriculture, and medicine. Its instructional mission includes undergraduate, graduate, professional and continuing education offered through resident instruction. Its main campus lies between Chiang Mai downtown and Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai Province.
The university was the first institution of higher education in northern Thailand, and the first provincial university in Thailand. Chiang Mai University has four campuses, three of them in Chiang Mai and one in Lamphun, which together cover about 3,490 acres (14.1 km2).There are 18 housing complexes located on campus for students attending the university. Seventeen of them are on the main campus and one is on the Mae Hea campus.

This university is one of the popular universities in Thailand. It has a lot of history especially to those who had studied there. It covers a wide area, covered with trees and plants, decorated by the old buildings and faculties. The University also attracts many foreign tourists especially from China.
