Buddy Tours

Von allen Touristeninfos und Tourveranstaltern, war Buddy Tours unsere Wahl. Zwar liegt das Office abgelegen der Hauptstraße, aber dafür haben sie ausgiebige Infos über alle möglichen Touren. Die Tour haben wir über Buddy Tours gebucht, war aber von einem anderen Veranstalter.
Wir haben uns vor Ort umgesehen und dann per E-Mail gebucht. Hat alles geklappt und der Kontakt war sehr freundlich.
Leider war die gebuchte Tour für uns zu wenig Trekking als versprochen wurde, deshalb nur 4 von 5 Sterne

We went there because they were next door and seemed convenient given that most of these "tour" organizers are merely aggregators that feed a handful of actual operators in the city and have fixed pricing (for the most part). Given that they just keep a commission and give the rest to the actual operator, they have near zero costs so I was surprised that the day after I had booked two day trips for 5000B and got Covid, I called them to see if they would refund me the cost and they plain refused! Since I couldn't go any other days because of my tight schedule I would have thought they'd be able to refund me the money becuase it costs them nothing. Since the operators can fill that spot from any of the 100s of other such "tour" mom-n-pop outfits, the Buddy Tour guys probably pocketed all of 5000B. That is unconscienable given that I wanted to cancel for medical reasons and not out of my whim.

Another incident where another guest at the hotel was stood up for Chiang Rai your which was supposed to pick them up at the hotel next door at 7am and no one showed up!! Money was not refunded either.

The place has to be reported to Thai tourism authorities!
