SCB Nimmanahaeminda

Was hesitant to go after reading reviews but it was the closest bank to do a deposit. Walked in, got a ticket #, 2 min later my # was called, courteous staff member helped me with a deposit, I left a few minutes later. System seemed good to me. Staff were friendly.

Good bank ,good location

มีลูกค้ามารับบริการเรื่อย ๆ หากลูกค้าด้านในเต็มก็จะให้รอด้านนอกก่อน และทยอยเข้าตามคิวที่จัดให้ครับ ด้านในมีพื้นที่ไม่กว้างมาก เป็นระเบียบเรียบร้อยดี

It’s always a long queue, sometimes 20-30 minutes to wait. At the same time one can notice there are 8 counters but only 2 of them have staff. For one of the most busy locations it would be good to have sufficient staff.

They need to more efficiently handle customers who need to quick service and more advance service. 30 minutes to deposit a cheque is ridiculous.

This review is about SCB at Central Festival and the SCB company in general - and I'm leaving the review here because even though the SCB at Central Festival is more than 5 years old it has no listing in SCB's web search or Google.
After six years of dealing with this bank I'm finished. They were once great with good customer service and great English language phone support. Over the last three years they've removed most of their ATMs, suddenly shut down their consumer and business banking websites and gave people no options except their mobile application. In those same three years their English support group went from great to bad, with rude and incompetent support being normal, not unusual. The branch support, specifically at Central Festival, where I have banked for years went from average to openly rude and hostile and notably openly comfortable in their incompetence. This bank has changed and now it's more known for incompetence and rudeness than great support or a business-minded focused.
SCB was once great. Now it joins the race to the bottom of bad service in the financial space in Thailand. And that race is getting crowded!

The tellers are efficient but are very unpleasant. I wonder if they are forbidden to smile or say thank you. Maybe they just don’t like farang. Days in Thailand are too nice to let rude bank tellers ruin it.

Absolutely useless. I’m no “everyone must speak English” type; however, if you’re going to benefit from Farang bank accounts at least have someone who is vaguely competent at dealing with their issues.

Update: did I mention that these idiots actually laugh at you when you leave the bank following yet another fruitless visit?

Really helpful to not open weekends and close at 4pm what about people that work.
