Picked up a great bunch of food from here. Amazing service, extremely helpful, English speaking and what I've eaten so far has been amazingly tasty. I will be back soon.

Great value ferang food in Hang Dong Moo Bahn. Smoked bacon gets my vote everytime, but they jave a large assortmemt of meats, sausages & pre prepared meals. Highly recommend a visit.

Laughing Monkey is a special meat supplier here in Chiang Mai .The owner chef Ian is extremely friendly ,passionate and knowledgeable in food! The food production facility is spotlessly clean and tidy, brilliant selection of bacon , smoked ham , full range of sausages and if you are vegetarian, oh my god... he got a selection for you to choose !!!

Super cool deli with great prices. Have yet to try what I bought, but I am sure its awesome. The owner, Ian, was fabulous. Gave us a great tour and as a 1st time customer, I got lots of freebies. Thanks Ian!! We will be back for sure!!

Another source for UK bacon, sausage, and a line of boil in the bag curries that easily beat the competition. Meat pies up there to although I like a bit more gravy inside.

An update: still some of the best farang food available in Northern Thailand (southern to probably). The Curries are authentic and delicious. Laughing Monkey is not a deli and freezes pretty much everything in answer to a recent comment. There is a cold cabinet and you may find what you are looking for there, if not, it will have to come the freezer.

Great little place for those hard to find specialist meats and sausage

Authentic food quality home made western food to take home including ham, bacon, sausages as well as many British classics.

Delicious home made meals suitable for the whole family, with a wide range of choice. We love having these meals in the freezer for those nights when we want good food but don't have the time to cook. Ian is incredibly friendly and a talented chef! 100% recommend!

Chef Ian's holiday lineup is excellent. Be sure to check out some of his thick sliced bacon. Just the right amount of salt in my opinion (not too much) and very little shrinkage when cooked.

Garlic black pepper sausage: This is good stuff. Skinless, I barely boil it in Singha beer 30 - 40 min. (Bring to boil for 10, then simmer 30.) No further cooking necessary. At this point they can be used in a sandwich (piquant but not hot by any means) or easily crumbled up with the end of a spatula to use in scrambled eggs, soup, etc.

Highly recommended. 170 baht / 500 grams last time I bought.

Chef Ian is a master! Culinary life in Chiang Mai would be gloomy without his air-dried salami and summer sausage, bacon-wrapped chicken breasts and frozen entrees. His sliced smoked ham is the best in town, bar none. His bacon is excellent in my book - easy on the salt and preservatives - and tasty with minimal shrinkage. The Monkey was a real find for us!

If I could give it a 6th star I would. Ian’s standard and quality of his food is impeccable. Amazing chorizo using some of the best ingredients in Chiang Mai, he really captured the essence of cured meat. A great guy who knows his stuff, from pies to hams, chorizos to smoked bacon the guy is a real legend. If you want authentic, well nurtured, real tasting food - this is the place to come. Great stuff Ian well done! I will definitely be placing another order, before Christmas!

Went here to buy black pudding. I've tried a few and this is by far the best. Saying that Chef Ian is English so it probably helps if you know what a black pudding should taste like.

Excellent shop with so much quality meat and produce on offer. They smoke their own salami, chorizo, and bacon - and the quality is the best you can find in Chiang Mai! Will revisit often 🙌

What an absolute pleasure to visit the Laughing Monkey for the first time today! Ian's premises are hygienic and clean with the most wonderful aromas of delicious smoked and cured meats. It was so nice of Ian to give us a tour of his works, I only wish I could have bought more products. I brought home so many products I can't wait to try!
