SPEED GYM Chiangmai

Fantastic gym. Air conditioned, huge and heaps of equipment. Staff are friendly and the toilets are very clean. Not busy and there is plenty of space. They also have some protein shakes on offer

I think this the best gym in CNX. Very spacious, pretty much any machine you can think of, good atmosphere, the regulars are kind and friendly, the coaches too. Highly recommended, I tried 4 gyms and only could stick to this one.

Clean gym, good equipment and a lot of space to train. We went there in de morning at 9.30 am and is was not busy. Cheaper than the other gym in the area (100 vs 150 baht).

just bear in mind, if you’re a heavy lifter, the max dumbbells here are 50lbs.

The place has good amount of equipment which can target most of muscle groups, it’s clean and the employees are helpful. I had PT from Pon he is a great trainer, helpful and friendly.

One of my favorite Gym in Chiang Mai.
Equipment is pretty new and the gym is always clean. There's a running track all around the gym.
Would definitely go back there if I'm around.

I have been a member of this gym since they opened about a year ago. Overall I think it is a fantastic gym, and by far my favorite gym I have tried on the west side of Chiang Mai so far. The staff is helpful and friendly. The location is convenient and easy to get in and out of. And the equipment is all new and mostly clean from a full-time cleaning staff. I recommend the gym highly...

EDIT:. since leaving my initial review with points they can improve, they have taken the feedback and directly improved them. This makes this gym THE BEST in town period. They installed 3 new ceiling fans over the weightlifting areas, and the music has been much more energetic. High praise goes to the staff and management for taking the criticisms and fixing them proudly. Great job team! 5 stars!

Dumbbells only up to 50 lbs so if you are wanting something heavier this may not be the place. They do have barbells and plenty of plates so you will be okay if you just want to do heavier barbell movements. Plenty of machines if that's what you're looking for. 100 baht for a day pass so a little on the pricier end for the area. Small deadlifting area and squat rack available.

My favorite place to go for my gym day. The area is large and has a fresh air inside. They have many options for an equipment. The restroom has lockers and keys options where you can store your belongings. They also have the towel service for the showering. The staffs are helpful and nice when they are asked for an assistance.

Excellent gym! They have every piece of equipment I would want to use (except for a pool), and it all seems brand new. Staff members are super friendly. 100 THB is a reasonable drop-in price (and 30 to rent a towel).

Lots of space and never crowded, air purifiers which is nice in the smokey season. Have all the machines and weights I need.

Are you kidding me? Only 100 baht a day to workout at a clean, friendly, professionally managed, well equipped gym? I love it!

The many positive reviews of Speed Gym have already hit the high notes, so I'll spare you the repeats and add only that I find the patrons of the gym to be kind, friendly, and respectful, i.e. just like the people of Chiang Mai.

Two, small issues: The fans in the mens' locker room just circulate hot odor. I suggest putting the fans right next to the windows and aiming them OUTSIDE, thus pulling the bad air out and forcing fresh air in.

Second issue: Though Speed Gym is in a diverse, Asian country FULL of attractive, fit, THAI people, the models on the walls are all Westerners except for the one Asian model dressed as a bar maid instead of as an athlete.

Two minor issues, but nothing that takes away from the well-deserved FIVE STARS.
