Hi cafe & bistro (ไฮ คาเฟ่ แอนด์ บิสโทร)​

This is a great little place on the way to Monjam. We were really surprised to find great food in the area, and it's very affordable as well. I highly recommend this place for some Thai fusion food. I really enjoyed the khaosoi pasta and the northern sausage pasta among other things.

We are a group of three who decided on this restaurant as an alternative to a more crowded restaurant opposite the street. This was indeed a rare find. It may look slightly unassuming on the outside but the interior is cosy. Nice English pop music plays on the background. We ordered Seafood soup (creamy and packed with many seafood), Spinach pizza (Cheesy yet not too gelaty), Spaghetti with Northern Thai Sauce (is Kao Soi essentially) and Stir fried noodles with pork (a good alternative to Pad Thai). Truly never regret making this visit and we recommend you to drop by if you want a more homely alternative.

Hi cafe and bistro is a must stop. This is a gem in the hills of Mae Rim. The food is beautiful looking and delicious tasting. Down to the last bite. The service is professional, kind, and quick! The atmosphere will make you feel at ease. Beautifully sunlit window front view. 😍 The soups are all so good. The menu is a little bit seasonal 😋. I strongly recommend you try the whole menu. Bring a date or your family. It's a great place to take photos.

Hi Cafe & Bistro has a welcoming homey vibe to it that made me comfortable from the moment I walked it.
The service is excellent and we were seated and offered menus right away.
The food is incredible! My partner and I have eaten here twice and loved both meals.

This is a fine dining experience in the midst of nowhere. Which is something unexpected, since when you're on the road you usually keep your expectations low. Everything, literally everything was superb - from their hand grated potato chips, so juicy and not oily at all, to their fish both white and salmon, to their vegetables (fresh green peas with salmon, mmm) and even mushroom soup with real mushrooms in it (and I dare guess that they were not canned, very flavourful soup, indeed, full of herbs and creamy). The tea was a hot pot of tea leaves, garlic bread was made out of baguette!!! Even their salt is pink Himalayan. Service is ultra friendly and accomodating, menu in English, though staff doesn't speak English. Air conditioned. So, ladies and gents, the verdict is - a must visit, superb.

I came here randomly, I was on a motorcycle trip and it started raining. At first i thought this place only serves coffee and maybe some snacks.

I ordered the Strawberry Soda, Pork Steak with Apple Sauce and Baked Potato with cheese. I hoped it would be at least ok.

When I got the Steak I was astonished how soft it was. I also loved the taste of the purple potato mash, that had a hint of coconut in it. I am not joking when I say that if somebody served this to me in a Michelin Stat restaurant, maybe with a little nicer presentation, I would have really loved it.

The soda and the baked purple potatoes were also really amazing.

A real gem with delicious food for very reasonable price. Here I’ve found the best mushroom and spinach soup in Chiang Mai. Thai cuisine here is also remarkably tasty. Cafe provides free wifi and has big panoramic windows. I gave four stars for the service only because coffee was served before main dishes. Though this is a common problem in Thailand. To be fair, coffee (hot) was tasty and served with a glass of water. Highly recommend this place.

Wow this place is UNREAL. What a hidden gem in the middle of Mae Rim. An amazing restaurant situated in the jungle, right beside Queen Sarakit Gardens. The food was gourmet from the chef entrées were absolutely delicious. Some of the best food I’ve had in Thailand. Prices are beyond reasonable averaging about 60-80 baht per dish. There’s traditional Thai food, pastas, pizza and drinks! She can customize for vegan veg options too. 10/10!

Salmon steak and salmon pasta were incredibly well cooked. Baked sweet potato was great too! Loved the food here with incredible service as well.

Hidden gem in Mae Rim district. A small but cozy cafe with nice food and coffee. It's been operated for 20 years. Started with the mom (still the chef) and now running by the son. They serve Thai and western food. Taste is great at a very reasonably price. Few spots for phot taking.

Excellent food in an unexpected place. I recommend the spaghetti khao soi and the sweet potato gratin.

Cute little cafe & restaurant. The portions were not very large, but affordable and tasty. The staff is also very friendly.

A hidden gem in Pong Yaeng, Mae Rim. This is the place to go if you're searching for a reasonably priced, wonderful, and perhaps semi-fine dining restaurant. I have dined here for many years, and I can always appreciate Auntie Hi's (The Owner) perfected cooking skill and the quality of the ingredients. Auntie Hi shops for groceries personally every alternate day, so you can rest assured that the ingredients she uses are always fresh and locally sourced.

The menu features primarily European foods, such as pork collar steak with apple sauce and grilled salmon. However, there are also excellent fusion meals such as Sai-Ua (Northern Thai Sausage) Pasta. The portions are also substantial, so you can easily fill your stomach without spending too much money here.
For me personally, seafood soup is a must-try.

Minor inconvenience, though. There is limited seating and almost no parking. Which I am able to simply overlook.
