Chaba Restaurant Phuket

Lovely restaurant by the lagoon with casual atmosphere. Service was fantastic and food was delicious. Ordered the live sea bass and was recommended to have it deep fried served with garlic. All of us loved it! Tom yum hot pot was very good too and the hot pot kept the soup hot which was great. The restaurant also offers free hotel transfers back and forth. Just contact them using the contact button in google maps and they will reply swiftly! 👍

Stumbled across this during a morning walk from our hotel at Hilton.
Prices seem reasonable so we came back for dinner as the partner wanted lobster and they quote a reasonable price of 250B per 100g. (Cheapest in fact as one at boat ave quote us 395B per 100g!)
Was the best choice made in Bangtao area. 👍🏻
We had lobster, a small crab and tom yum soup.
All 3 items were so yummy! 🤤
The crab and lobster was extremely fresh and meat was firm and crunchy.
And So I have no idea why this place gets bad reviews? They deserve a 4 star or 5 star review!

I agree with the previous reviewer; the food is good and consistently good. I’ve been going to Chaba for more than 10 years (I visit Phuket once or twice a year, excluding the pandemic years) and it has never disappointed me. They do a good mean steam lime fish and you get to choose your live fish up at the front. I always enjoy their pineapple rice with prawns and their stir fried morning glory. Their cashew chicken is also very good. Prices are also extremely reasonable and they provide complimentary transfers. Dining is in tranquil surroundings by a lake as well. What more can anyone ask for?

Staff very friendly. The view over the lake gives a great atmosphere. Excellent food with over generous serving. Price of food great for the wonderful quality. Quiet restaurant with nice breeze off the lake. Definitely a must doer.

I’ve been coming here every year for the past couple of years now. Classic Thai food with great flavor and fresh seafood always. This reminds me of the old days in Phuket and I absolutely enjoy it. The view there is absolutely insane.

Food was delicious . We got the lobster and it was one the best I ever had. When you are passing by, you can’t see , but there is a huge terrace at the back with amazing view to laguna full of Lilly flowers in the water. I would definitely recommend . One of the best Thai food.

Friendly service with tasty dishes; especially the seafood. The shrimps in tamarind sauce, tiger prawns thermidor, baked cheese mussels were really good 😋
After lunch and spending the afternoon at nearby shops, the staff offered a ride back to hotel

Staff was attentive and service was excellent. Seafood was fresh and tasted great. Fish and tiger prawns was thoughtfully sliced up. Transportation available to hotel and restaurant. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Very nice location near the lake. We came here for the third time and we surely will go more often. Very kind people, shuttle service to our resort and the most important, good quality food for a fair price. Don't hesitate if you are arround. I don't understand the negative reviews, they must be from competitors or people that expect a 3 star Guide Michelin experience next to their resort? Come on! Be realistic and fair.

Amazing Restaurant, lovely staff, well spoken English. We ordered a deliciously cooked lobster and some curry and everything was superb!
From the outside unfortunately you do not notice, but they have a open Terrance at the back onto the Lagoon which is beautiful to dine al fresco. I would recommend for sure. Best place I haven’t eaten in BangTao

We spent an evening at Chabba Restaurant with a large family group. The service was amazing, the cocktails were delicious and the food very fresh. Perfect experience of traditional southern Thai.

Superb and friendly staff. Fruit juice was one of the better ones I've had so far. Ordered the tom yum soup, morning glory, and steamed fish which all tasted great. A little pricey compared to other places in Phuket but well worth it for the view and ambiance

Very nice place to eat with a very nice view. Food is quite good. They need have a cat that looks like Garfield but it is female. They need to clean the fish pond though. It is quite dirty and has quite a bit of aLgae. I recommend the pompla Pasta with spaghetti. 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
