Nice island, it used to be natural jail before. You can visit only high season, they close on rainy season. Because of safety reason. Foreigner have to pay for entry fee since Pakbara pier, price is higher than Thai people.

I love the forest and mountain here. Very quite, peaceful and refreshing. Kayaking along the mangrove forest to the crocodile cave is amazing. Au Son has great sunset spot (and also great seafood). At the end of Au Son beach, there is a magnificent panoramic view of the mountain and forest.

Island definitely worth seeing. It is small, no fancy hotels. You won't find any accomododation on popular sites like booking. You can prebook online at park site, but it is easier to do it while you arrive. You can choose from tents through bungalows to ac small houses. We choosed it for its empty beaches and quietness. It is a National Park so there are two restaurants and one small shop. It is wise to buy things in advance on land, keeping in mind that electricity is available only in certain hours. So avoid things that spoil quick or attract bugs or monkeys 😂. You can rent a decent mtb bike and make your climb to the even more remote parts of the Island. I recommend seeing old prison and remote beaches, renting kayaks. On the down side it is an Island so everyday ocean washes up tons of garbage. But it is to be expected sadly. Still i recommend it. If you like active traveling, this is place for You. It is easy accesible from Pak Bara pier.

Very nice area for diving, world class soft and hard corals, rich underwater life. We saw big schools of all kinds of coral fish, sea snake, barracuda, sea turtle and much more in last four dives. Many islands with secluded beaches, great snorkeling, everything you dream of in terms of underwater adventure.
