Explore the charm of Chamcha Market, usually a weekend delight, but today, being New Year's Day, some shops have opened their doors. The atmosphere exudes cuteness, perfect for those who appreciate sincere markets and handmade craftsmanship at affordable prices. Serendipitously passing by today, I reveled in the tranquility with few visitors, making strolling a breeze. Definitely marking a return visit.

P.S. Keep an eye out for the two resident orange cats—one playful, one not. A delightful detail! 🤣

I recommend coming during the weekdays for slow and peaceful environments. Several stores are still open during non-weekends.

The best market in Thailand based on my multiple visits over several years.

Very peaceful environment. Pleasant to walk. Every minute here is joyful. Items tend to be more pricey, but i see myself using the items purchased here for a long time, as opposed souvenirs from other markets that always end up taking storage without real use.

wonderful community market, I definitely recommend coming here. There is a huge market on the weekend with many things to do, craft and eat. A lot of shops with beautiful selfmade things. Great to support the community. 🤍🫶🏼☀

The Cafes, some shops and restaurants are also open during the week, If you enjoy a calmer experience. ☕

There is also a beautiful airbnb for up to 4 people available. I recommend staying there. It’s perfect, especially for family’s or digital normads. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Such a nice place to go, a Northern (Lanna) style market. Crafting is decorated mostly with handicrafts. it's nice to wake up to walk into the market. The good atmosphere and productivity were a wonder.

People who sell their home plants.

I wonder about it.

An authentic weekend market. Compact in size but full of artisanal vibes. With the rustic and naturalistic ambience, it is an absolute hideout from the usual tourist crowd. Had a chill morning amazed by the original place making, clothings and lifestyle accessories. There is also an organic lunch venue at the Meena that will not disappoint.

A charming artisan market in Chiang Mai that is definitely worth a visit. The market offers a great selection of locally made handicrafts, souvenirs, and unique items that you won't find anywhere else.

The market is not too big, so you can easily walk around and take your time browsing through the different stalls. The vendors are friendly and knowledgeable, and there is no pressure to buy anything.

One of the things I loved most about Chamcha Market is the atmosphere – it's a great place to soak up the chill culture. Plus, the prices are very reasonable, so you can pick up some great souvenirs without breaking the bank.

A cool, laid back atmosphere weekend market, east of the city. It has a community vibe of artisans and other vendors to shop and browse. There are many handicrafts and trendy clothing to see here. A few food and drink places as well.

Very nice area to visit, take a walk, window shopping. There are many local vendors and lots of traditional hand made goods here. I loved it very much, lots of parking area. Can be very hot in the day time, and busy on the weekends.

I am looking for coffee around my place on Sunday and I found this unique market on the map!! This is the village that people built they own house becomes a tourist place, if you visit here on Saturday and Sunday you will find unique market name is “Cham Cha Market”.

This place has promoted local products such as local shirts, plants, and art-works.

There is many restaurants and coffee cafés located in the market, they have their own coffee signature. Don’t worry about toilet no charging, nice music not to loud.

Rare foods also available here, especially local northern foods. You can walk-In there is no charging for entry and don’t forget to bring Cash because most of them are villagers.

So, if you need to feed your family I would recommend here to be your choices.

We live in Chiang Mai but never really gone to San Kamphaeng area much. We had just decided to check out Chamcha market last Sunday and we love this place. We usually go to Jing Jai market in the city on Sunday morning because it’s closer to our house and we love the atmosphere at JJ market as much as the stuff people sell there.

Chamcha market also has its charm and the handicrafts and clothes from certain shops on the street seem to be in better quality and grade than the ones at JJ market and the prices of clothes from those permanent stores on the street are also higher here at Chamcha market. Some of the things sold inside the area designated for small stalls are reasonable.

Sunday is a usually a lean day here, so if you’re not keen on bumping into people whole strolling around, Sunday is a good day to visit this market compared to Saturday.

Most of the stores here are quite interesting and different. You would enjoy walking around here if you like handicrafts. There are a few coffee shops and places to eat around there. At the end of the road, there’s Meena, a Thai restaurant which serve authentic Thai food with lovely presentation.

We were told to try Iced-Mocha Mint coffee from one of the coffee shop at next to Thong Dee shop, it was good!

Definitely recommend this arts and crafts market if you’re planning to do something in San Kamphaeng area as well. Worth a visit. 😊

Chamcha Market is my favorite weekend shopping spot. Mostly hand-crafted items including clothing, shoes, decorative items, and accessories. Thai grandmas sell hard to find Northern Thai food in front of the Pizza Bus.

A market where it is still real hand made local art and craft products. The vibe is so relax you spend a few hour, have lunch and wandering around.
Mostly open only Sunday but some shops open everyday.
