Tasty, reasonable price and worthy Northern food in Chiang Mai

First time here many years ago and visit every time I came here. Their food really suit my taste, I like spicy food. My recommendation are:
- Larb Kua (spicy pork salad) - my all time fav northern food spicy of spice and savory.
- Ong poo (Crab paste) - savory eat with sticky rice is superb.
- Grilled fish spicy paste - kinda like Nam prik nhoom but had smoky of grilled fish and spicy
- Grilled pork intestines - tender but chewy and smoky.

The vibe is like eating at friends home, cozy but shady and cool
I personally think this is the best Northern food restaurant in Chiangmai

Perfect spot for a traditional Chiang Mai lunch! This place offers a diverse menu that is hard to find elsewhere. Keep in mind that it can be a bit far if you don't have a car, but it is definitely worth it.

This is a nice restaurant with lots of seating options (inside or outside). It looks more like a traditional house rather than a restaurant. When I went there for lunch, the inside tables were almost occupied. The northern Thai food was authentic and delicious. You may need to spend some time to select the food you want as there a plenty to select on the menu. Although it was a busy time, there were sufficient personal to look after the guests. They also have a kind of a small market within the restaurant premises where you can purchase various food items. They also offer freshly (cold) pressed fruit juices and smoothies. I had an avocado smoothie and it was great.

Best Northern cuisine I would say. Little far away from city center but really worth it. Plan your time as it closes at 4pm. Highly recommended. I would say there is no MSG unlike other city-center Northern restaurants

I can't think of a better place to get some traditional northern food. Killer menu, great atmosphere (be it a little hot), and attentive staff. Don't sleep on anything, each dish is small and perfect for sharing.

Oh wow! The food here was so good! One of the best restaurants I have been in Chiang Mai. The place is about 25 min drive from the city center but don’t let that stand in your way. You can take a bolt or a grab to get there. The restaurant is located inside an old wooden lanna house built on stilts. They have a dining area under the house and another one upstairs. The upstairs area is worth a visit as well as their backyard garden.

One of the best local northern food in Chiangmai. Good atmosphere among the old northern wood style house. Variety of menu for selection, recommend all northern menu. Clean and friendly staffs. Fresh vegetables is self served. Many of seats. Open only lunch time. Price was so cheap. Herbal drinks is recommended. Small local market inside. Must try.

Incredible northern Thai food. Absolutely one the best places to eat in Chiang Mai if you want legit local food. Plus it doubles up as a beautiful art gallery.

Great place to experience northern Thailand food at a great price!
Spicy dishes can be much more spicier than you expect, so take that as a warning :)

Do try the pork in Hinlay curry with Tamarind and peanut; it'll remind you of 'rendang' if you have ever tried it before!
Atmosphere is great as well.
Salad bar is also available for 20baht.

The entrance of the place may be a little hidden from the main road, so do look out carefully for the entrance when navigating here.
If you are passing by, make sure to stop here to try it!

Super delicious northern thai cuisine. I think this is the best I’ve evr had. Price is also cheap. Good decoration & atmosphere, friendly service. Totally recommended.

I really enjoy the taste of many recipe here.
The dessert is also good. (LodChong TangThai “ลอดช่องแตงไทย”) and the coconut is super fresh!

Local Food but Global Taste. This restaurant served herbal and healthy northern dishes. I recommend "steamed herbal chicken" and "Jackfruit spicy soup" those delicious dishes go along very well with the steamed rice.

Affordable, clean, and tasty Northern Thai Cuisine. Very much enjoyable by the local and Thai tourist. Don’t expect to be flavorful with spicy, salty, sourly, or sweet from other parts of Thailand.

Authentic Northern Thai Food in a traditional northern home. Reasonable price. There is an art gallery on the property. Lots of parking.

If you would like to taste the real Northern food, this is one of the restaurant that I would like to recommend. However, due to many people in the shop, you should have a good plan, many good food finished early. The taste is good but a little spicy for foreigners. We love it.!
