Lucky day for me. I come just on the right day. Bo Sang Umbrella Festival 17.01.2020 but this small city have a loot of very good local handcrafts shops open every day all year round.

Went on a school field trip with my kindergarten class. The owners were lovely with the kids. Very patient and showed them how to paint some things, which surprisingly came out (for the most part) really well. The kids loved it and they were extremely quiet and focused for the entire time, so it was nice for the teachers as well... Would definitely recommend to anyone, especially families with young children or schools.

Had a Great 2night mini break resort is very nice.. Lovely Breakfast and rooms are very good.. Staff is very good.
Can recommend this resort.. All the food is good and good prices. Great for a few days outside CM.

It's a great place to go to see how paper and umbrellas are made and decorated, as well as being able to get anything else you want painted (e.g., clothing, book, cel phone case, laptop, pocket knife, whatever).

Also, this should be just one of your stops, as you can check out other craft factories (e.g., celadon, laquerware, wood, silver, silk, cotton, gems, etc.).

Varem anar a aquesta factoría de paraigües i ventalls ,a la botiga a banda de paraigües i ventalls també pots trobar articles diversos i souvenirs per regalar , vaig quedar impressionat del treball artesanal que fan aquestes dones la dedicació i l'habilitat que tenen a l'hora de fer aquesta feina pots comprar diferents articles a preus molt bons,un 50% més barats un del que et costarien a una botiga.
Val la pena fer una escapada des de Chiang Mai, anar amb moto està a un tir de pedra
