Luang Rajamaitri Historic Inn

This place is an old house so size of room and facilities is not exactly like in the hotel or resort. It’s recommended for people who like to stay and experience staying in old house which aging over 150 years in historic area and settle along the riverside. The location is superb and in the city centre of Chantabun Riverside area where you can hop around to explore the area. Room is a bit small but clean. Wooden floor that you could hear the noise while someone waking. Breakfast is impressive as it’s provided by local and authentic food and on riverside seating area. If you drive, I would recommend to call staff that could help you to reserve parking spot next to hotel.

One of the great experience to spend nights at the unique and long history hotel nearby Chantaburi river. The hotel has 10 rooms that the price starts from 1,690 Baht per night. The living room and bathroom are at the downstair. The bedroom is at the upstair. The view is fantastic. Breakfast is tasty.

As the name says you’re staying in an old historic house, a beautiful wooden building, right at the river in the most atmospheric street of Chanthaburi. For the only 1 night we were in town we definitely wanted to have Baan Luang Rajamaitri as our base. And we absolutely loved this place! Fantastic room, super friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. Chanthaburi is a surprisingly nice city, we wished we planned a night extra.

There was really nothing we didn’t like about Baan Luang Rajamaitri, but it might be good to know that at least our room was pretty small - especially when traveling with a big suitcase - and a bit noisy; while just next to the breakfast area, I hope other guests were not too disturbed by our morning rituals…

Very nostalgic accommodation of rich history. A good break from the more modern-design hotels. The room chosen was called Mother's Kitchen Room and came with a cute shower stall modified from a wooden tub.

Excellent place to stay. Very relaxing atmosphere even though it is located in the heart. The building is historical but has been renovated with modern amenities. Breakfast is tasty. Staffs are super helpful. Unfortunately, there is no pool, Cafe, or bar.

Charming hotel which has put in great efforts to be as authentic as possible. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Lovely view over the river when having breakfast makes for a beautiful start of the day when exploring the beautiful and clean city of Chanthaburi and the Chantaboon Waterfront. It's something different and if you don't mind climbing up some steep stairs to reach your mattress and if you don't mind the latter being a little on the hard side, I can highly recommend it.

This community hotel offers a very local old-fashioned life style. These community travels have been contributed by the members of this neighborhood. I would say this is one the best alternative for ones who are into cultural varieties other than touristy places or resorts around this region of Thailand.

Even I am Thai living in Bangkok. I still love this place as you could not find this atmosphere in metro or downtown area in fairly-delevoped cities.

Each room has it own style. We stay at Ton Yang room and has great experience. The hotel is located in historic riverside where you can explore both night and day. Note that parking won't be easy for this hotel. I need to park at a temple nearby but still worth the effort.

Wow, an old house in Chantaburi! Great location in the old town by the river. The room was clean and well maintained. Near the house is an old noodle shop where they served our breakfast. Loved it!

Calm and relaxing place to stay overnight. A must to visit in Chantaburi. All staffs here ate very friendly anf make you feel like home. This place is located by Chantaboon river and the walking street.
