Really worth the drive from the city. Very quiet area but seems to be looked after by the monks. Many dogs around that are well kept and fed. The few locals we saw were so friendly and helpful. The statue itself is beautiful and it really is giant. Once you spot the huge wasps nests, you won't be able to ignore. 178 steps to the top. Free entry for all.

Beautiful statue on top of a hill. Enormous statue, well worth stopping.

Quite an attraction with long staircase. I really enjoyed the Quan Yin fountain at the base
