Truly beautiful temple - can get a water blessing there’s monks inside doing so. It’s on the Ping River where you could hire a boat. Surrounded by amazing trees. Loved it. Can easily spent an hour here or less if you are in a hurry and want to go to the next temple. You have to see this .. roosters everywhere.

Such a special temple I saw it when I drove by and I really had to plan another return while there are so many special things about it;
The special statue of King Roman 5 under the huge tree, the nice restaurant just over the water of the river, the special offerings of the different animals that you can give to the river, I gave two toads for 70 and you can also use another animals for your offering

Wat Chai Mongkhon (Thai: วัดชัยมงคล, also spelled Chai Mongkol) is a Buddhist temple (wat) in Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. The temple is located by the Ping River, on Charoen Prathet Road in the old city center. It is believed to have been built during the reign of King Tilokaraj (1441–1487), and serves an old Mon community.[1][2] Its architecture demonstrates Amarapura–Mandalay influence.[3
Boat cruises on the Ping leave from a dock at the riverside area of the complex.
Handicap ♿ doable in some areas. Steps in certain areas.

Amazing temple to visit, highly recommended! There's actually a few different temples and it's right by the river so is very tranquil. Very quiet and quite a few chickens running around also!

Beautifully built temple has access to the river . Was pretty crowded cause it was the lantern festival period . Definitely worth a visit . Please make sure you are dressed appropriately when visiting holy places and always be respectful.

A beautiful and large temple complex, east of Chiang Mai city and on the western banks of Ping River.

One of the best of all the temples in and around Chiang Mai. It also features a pier where you can get onto river boats.

Not to be missed if possible.

Lovely temple by the river, the ornaments and decoration are different to other temples we've seen, they are very clean, well kept and that's what makes this temple stand out from the rest.

I give a short visit to this temple on my way to Mae Ping River Cruise. 2minutes away. Like other temple in Chiang Mai, very quiet and comforting.

An active temple and not very touristy. A good place to observe and experience the way of offering alms to the monk and pay merits.
