Wauw! Amazing place! do you want to enjoy nature? escape the hustle and bustle? then go to this place! I can also recommend. Costs only 50 baht p.p. Drinking coffee or tea by Lake View coffee. A dream picture! then go for a walk around the lake, about an hour. really beautiful! oh yes, we wanted to stay for the sunset. but at 6.45 pm we were asked to go because the park was closing. luckily I just saw the sunset.

Absolute hidden gem. Good for couples, groups or friends or families.

The place is big and you’ll need a car or motorcycle to move around between the many spots. We ended our visit at one of the lake huts. The food was good and the prices were really reasonable.

Entrance fee 50 bhts per person

A beautiful reservoir. Can spend a nice afternoon here overlooking the reservoir in absolute tranquility. The reservoir is also very rich in marine life.

A beautiful reservoir with some impressive sculptures made using the used rice husks. There's a ziplining company there if you like adrenaline sports or you can simply use one of the many floating houseboats to sit in the shade. The surrounding rice paddies are lovely and it's well worth a stop if you're on a guided tour of the area.

Wonderful park to chill out.
It was not full even though it was a Saturday afternoon.
50 Baht to enter; it closes at 18.00 so make sure you have a ride back as you won't find tuktuk there.

The entrance fee is 50baht/person. The place is wonderful especially at sunset time. There is a swimming area in a lake if you want to swim. Very cool straw statues and you can go inside them to take some photos. Also you can rent bikes and water catamarans for 50 baht/30 minutes. Come here and enjoy the place yourself 🫶

It is a nice place for a lazy afternoon and not too far from the old town city. I was there after it just stopped raining so my timing wasn't good. There are no many tourist on Monday - Friday. Recommend to rent a small hut on the lake and enjoy a lunch. ☺❤

I absolutely love the lake. It would be great to spend every day just relaxing in one of the huts on the side of the lake. There are lots of restaurants to choose from with various food choices. Go early and spend the day, eating, drinking, swimming and enjoying the scenery.

Went here today and not bad. The place is huge openspace with well made Zodiacs. Riding my bike in the shaded roads also part of healing, especially the shelter floating in the water was impressive

The lake is a great park, one can spend the day in and a nice place for families with all the facilities.
There are many restaurants on the shore of the lake and the seafood is excellent, the prices of restaurants are cheap and the sessions are on a bamboo raft. There are also models of straw animals, as well as rice fields and a sheep farm.
Entry is 50 baht per person, and in restaurants, 20 baht is paid per person.
The place is worth visiting in Chiang Mai

If you‘re an need of some water around you in the north of Thailand, come here. The recommendation is pretty simple here. Get one of the small bungalows on the water -> get some food & drinks -> enjoy the day!

The entrance into the are is 50 Baht per person. Very fair, it’s a clean place. It’s best to visit with the scooter, so you’re flexible to drive around the place.

I went to Huay Tung Tao Reservoir on one of the recent public holidays and understandably it was bit crowded. There are some allocated areas where you can swim but not a great place to have a swim. Most of the people come here to have a meal in one of the dining huts (there are lots of them around the lake) build almost at the very edge of the lake edge, so you are sitting almost over the water. The main reason you are going there is to have a relaxing time and good meal. It looks like meals are cooked/served by providers responsible for specific area and the system is functioning well.
The food (our lunch) was very good. The service was also good (didn’t have to wait for long to get what we ordered although it was very busy). The price was reasonable.
There are lots of activities you can do around this lake, cycling (electric bike rentals are also available close by), walking and visiting other parks such as Huay Tung Tao sculpture park.

It is a place where you can add beautiful frames to your photo album with its fun figures made of straw and the experience of feeding the sheep with your hands.

Beautiful place you have to visit when you are in Chiang Mai. 50 BHT per person and totally worth the visit. I think you need to prebook seats in the restaurants if you want to sit near the lake and have food. Many places to explore around.
