Delicious Thai and western food served here. Great service from the staff. You can book to eat on their boat that takes you to sight see Mae Ping river while having your dinner.

Went for the dinner cruise last evening and thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was excellent, service great, and the views from the Ping River were amazing with coloured lights and lanterns aplenty! Highly recommend this venue!

Beautiful restaurant by the riverside a short walk over the river from the night market. Very reasonably priced for the location and quality of food. The staff was kind and eager to serve me. The live bands were awesome. Will definitely return again.

The Riverside was recommended by the concierge at our hotel, so we asked her to make a reservation. We are glad we did because we had a table reserved right on the water.

The menu is extensive, but everything we had was high quality and tasted delicious. We particularly enjoyed the whole fried fish served with northern Thai sauces and vegetables. The papaya salad was also very fresh and spicy.

The live music really added to the atmosphere, but it started an hour later than we expected. The service was good, but not very personal, with a rotating set of servers who were all polite but not all very warm.

A great recommendation for a good vibes right on the river.

Over a year since my last visit. Still the same high quality Thai food served on the bank of the Ping River. Served on the river if you want to go on their nightly cruise for an extra 200 Baht a head. Great live bands too. Service is fast and on point. Seafood curry served in coconut is my particular favourite

My fam and I ate dinner here for Easter Sunday. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was more attentive than the majority of the places I’ve been to in the city. We didn’t eat on the river boat, but that’s an option I’d consider for next time. We ordered a variety of Western and Thai foods. The food in general wasn’t “amazing”, but it was good. Respectable. What I really enjoyed was the Riverside basket. Think seafood taco salad. I think the edible bowl was made of taro root, and it was filled with shrimp, cashews, sautéed veggies, etc. My wife wasn’t thrilled about her order (chicken cordon bleu) so after tasting my Riverside basket, she happily ordered one for herself. My kids enjoyed their food (burgers and fries and shrimp). The pitcher of margarita we ordered was ok, but seemed a bit small.
I could give a 4 rating to this restaurant and be justified in doing so. However, the service and atmosphere and other components of the experience led me to round up to a 5.

Fantastic Riverside restaurant offering great choice of food. Further optional dining on a boat taking you along the river for an addition THB200 (£5) per head.
Good choice of local Thai craft beers are available.
Regular music programme includes 3+ live bands each night in the bar.
Good lively atmosphere in an attractive setting. Would highly recommend.

Fancied a change from Thai food and this place was suggested to us by the locals.

We both had the fillet steak which was excellent. A good bottle of white wine and a blueberry cheese cake for dessert.

One of the best restaurants in Chiang Mai on the Ping River. Excellent service and the food is as good as it gets. They have the best Gang Hun Lae (Northern Pork/Burmese Curry) I have had anywhere in Thailand. The fish is fresh. Traditional appetizer plate is well done. Lots of beverage choices including beer that includes local micro brews. Very authentic Thai food and some good western choices as well, even pizza. You can choose to enjoy a river cruise with your dinner. The boat leaves at 8 PM and comes back in just over an hour. There is a toilet on board if you worry about that. Talented live music with a different band every hour starting at 8 PM. I love the place. Cozy and enjoyable. Indoor (open air) and outdoor seating by the river. They take reservations and credit cards. Parking across the street. Closed on Tuesdays. This is a must go to place.

Loved this place, lots of expads, tourists and anybody loving thai food, nice settings with a dinner cruise boat leaving and returning once during your stay. Loved it, the atmosphere of sitting close to the water, enjoying the different elevations where guests can sit, little to no mosquitos, great drinks and add the lighting, just a great place to have drinks, dinner or whatnot. Smokers have opportunity to tar their lungs on the landings to the dinner cruise boat.

Welcoming restaurant that surprised us with the nice back view and outside tables. We went at night, so there were lamps and little lights which made the decor fairy.
The service was excellent for us: fast and good. The staff was always attending our needs.
Food wise, they were many choices for all tastes. Our food had very nice taste and we had good portions.
Finally, if you are searching for a friendly ambience and not a romantic one, the inside of restaurant offers a completely different energy.

Had a decent dinner with kids. Food wasn’t sensational, but it’s more about the cool vibe, music and drinks there! Beer (the Muay Thai IPA) was good, and the deep fried chicken in Pandan leaves too. Our kids wanted simple ‘western’ food, and were happy enough - the pizza was still ok, even though it’s a frozen heat-up type.

When the band kicked in at 8pm, they were great and we would love to have stayed but kids were tired. Still, a good place and we went there on a friend’s recommendation as their favourite restaurant/bar in Chiang Mai. We weren’t disappointed.

This is located on the banks of river Mae Ping, and offers a wide array of cuisines including mouthwatering Thai food, and all so delicious food!

🔹reach by 5:45pm (check sunset time) and make a reservation so that you get a table on the Pier, next to river - so that you can fully enjoy your space, sunset over the Thai mountains and river - magic is in the air …
🔹cruise is so good and food and all is fully served there, so take it easy and slow. Time to let your hair down and feet up 🟣
🔹 this is among the most romantic of places and so live every moment ♥
🔹live music is so special: the last night we were there both performers were absolutely so magical ✌♥
🔹easy to get a grab or public transport, nothing to worry at all.

Super cool location with live music and DJs. Beautiful views of the rivers.

We seemed to be the only farang. So it felt like a very local spot.

Delicious Thai food. Didn’t try the western food. Nice atmosphere for family style setting with live music and nice views of the river. Next door to The Good View should you want to go dancing after. Prices are reasonable as well.

This is a classic Chiang Mai restaurant and bar with a great vibe. It's a nice walk from the night bazzar. A very comfortable and relaxed place to enjoy a drink and good food.

It is a good place for dinner.. the place is big yet peaceful. It is beside the river so if u get the river seat the view is nice..
You should go for the Asian food, the western items are pricey.

A lovely view over the water. Nothing special about the food but they had a nice band playing which was quite good and I enjoyed listening to it
