Norden Restaurant

Every meal that I’ve had at this restaurant has been stupendous. The chef owner Phillip really does an amazing job on flavors, creativeness, and totally delicious food. Extra good quality meats and products here as well. I can’t recommend this place enough for people that really enjoy fine cuisine expertly prepared. Came here for lunch. Nice ambience, great service and delicious food. We had the smoked salmon with lingon berries and mustard; Halibut with lemon butter sauce; Signature BBQ Ribs (literally fall of the bone tender); Norden Apple Crumble.
It's a bit out of town but worth the journey.

Came here on my birthday at the beginning of the year, the dishes are cooked very well! Only restaurant in Chiang Mai that does nordic cuisine, it’s perfect if you’re missing Scandinavian food, it’s very close to what you would get directly when visiting north European countries.
We invited our friends after visiting the first time & we all had to keep coming back!! Makes us happy and our friends too. The service is professional and kind, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. Tennis is always streaming on the Tv. My favorite detail. :)

Excellent Swedish cuisine in Chiang Mai.

Had the three-course lunch special - food is prepared with very fresh ingredients, smartly proportioned, and well plated. Decor is very nice inside. Servicr is super friendly and helpful.

One of Chiang Mai's very best fine dining restaurants without the hefty fine dining prices.

We found this fabulous restaurant through Google reviews almost 2 years ago and have visited 6 or 7 times since.
Each time trying something different from the extensive menu and each time leaving very impressed.

Nicely decorated and fitted out restaurant with a casual atmosphere complemented by great staff. Good seating arrangements, having a good choice of tables for two, four, six and one large table for 8 and all well spaced out.

The menu offers both Nordic appetisers and mains along with traditional western favourites.
From the Nordic dishes we have tried the Swedish meatballs, Rakmacka XL ( Shrimp Sandwich XL) and the Grilled Salmon with Cream Cooked Potatoes, all superb and beautifully plated.
From the western mains we've tried their very tender Red wine braised Australian beef cheeks, Grilled Salmon in white wine & butter sauce and the Norden signature BBQ Ribs with Norden hand cut potato wedges.
The wedges might just be the best I've tried anywhere..

Extensive drinks menu, both soft drinks and alcoholic beverages including cocktails, decent wine list and beers including Hoegarden.
I had a non alcoholic "Tiger Woods Iced Tea" on my last visit which was very enjoyable.
We usually have their excellent red house wine, which at the time of writing is a South African Cabernet Shiraz.

Lastly their dessert menu to finnish a great meal is superb and like everything here made using only the finest ingredients, on our last visit we tried their Chocolate Mousse which is truly divine, nicely balanced and beautifully plated with cream and raspberry. Again this might be the best Chocolate Mousse I've ever tried.

If you have read this far into the review you can probably guess that I really like this restaurant and you'd be correct!
I highly recommend this restaurant to fellow Google review users and lovers of great food. Only 10 minutes from the old city and very large free parking lot on site.

Just tried the Signature BBQ rib, this is probably the best in Chiangmai, the included fried potatoes are amazing too.
Another famous Swedish meat balls are also great, they are totally different from the Asian Fish meat balls, taste and texture are excellent. I just failed to take pictures, but these two dishes are so popular and I think everyone can find their pictures here.

Great Scandinavian food with great environment. If you want to have a great time with friends and great food then here is the place for you to come.

I’ve been here twice. Really likes the Wednesday special deal, I think the drinks are too expensive however went back on Sunday and saw a two for one special on wine 275 but for two glasses of wine which is a good price. But 275 Bhat for a glass of wine is too much… Very good food but it’s overpriced take advantage of the daily promotion and the price is good. The three-course promotional set is a very good price. So come hungry and for 300 baht you’ll be stuffed

We had the lunch set (bargain 3 course meal) and it was truly delicious! Great restaurant and very close to us… we will be back many times, I’m sure. The service was fantastic too.

Lovely restaurant,nice staff,but if you are want to order BBQ ribs, busy time it’s possible to wait for 15 minutes or more,please drive slow, otherwise you will pass the parking lot easily.

It’s quite far from city center but it’s really worth to have meal here. They have good quality food. For starter we have shrimp bisque soup, best in Chiang Mai in my opinion. I love signature BBQs pork rib and cheek beef stew. They have side dish which is potato mash in Norwegian style was tasty. Also their Norwegian food was interesting with now have promotion house wine 1 get 1. The atmosphere of restaurant was simple but warm and classic and have a lot of parking area. Staffs were very helpful and professional. The dessert we have were ice cream with Baileys liquor and Norwegian style chocolate which is perfect for ending of our dinner. It’s gonna be second and third time definitely. #Norwegian #chiangmai

We had dinner on 2 March Sunday. Very good, presentation, taste choices 👌. Price quality has it should. We come again.

Excellent pork ribs.

We came along on a Wednesday for the rib special, which did not disappoint!

Juicy and tender ribs were served with just the right amount of sauce, chunky chips and a leafy salad.

Dishes are tasty and many of them are interesting and original. Can also give respect for dessers, chocolate muss and so on. Better to dine in rather than their deliveries.

Omg this place was just a random google search... But so happy we found it! I had the BBQ ribs which were fall off the bone, great flavor, and oh so tender! My girlfriend had the grilled salmon... I snuck a bite and boom! Delicious! I highly recommend this place. The owner Phil is really nice guy and also happens to be a fantastic chef. The service was on point! The ambiance of the place is really nice and cozy. Can't wait to come back =)

First time to eat here and enjoyed all the food very much! And do not choose the dish based on the pictures on the menu, the real dish will look much nicer

Excellent food (onion rings, swedish meatballs, halibut), excellent service, good decor and vibes. Didn't love the chocolate covered meringue dessert but it was fun to try something new.

Although the food are expensive, the food are delicious.😋 It has promotion in Wednesday, ribs only 299B.😍
